Welcome bhundé interiors is rooted in thoughtful local design and an unwavering commitment to quality. We believe that beautiful spaces should not only inspire, but function effortlessly in everyday life. We look forward to creating and collaborating with you.

Warmly, Felize bhundé interiors creative designer & founder

Meet Felize Felize [feh·LEE·zeh] grew up learning that a home can speak. In her grandfather’s house in old Garneton, Kitwe, it was the wood that did the talking: solid, warm and full of quiet character. It taught her early that a space can hold a feeling long after you leave it. That love for wood, shared by her father and mother, became her own, so much so that those around her call her Ms. Woods. Today, Felize shapes spaces the way she first experienced them: by how they feel, the stories they hold and the life they make room for. Her background in brand strategy gives her a sharp sense of how people live and what they value, and she brings that into every home she touches. She believes design cannot be taught, only experienced. So she keeps looking, learning and feeling her way through platforms like Decorex, Homemakers and the Zambia Arts and Design Show, and through the art, jazz, orchestras and culture that inspire her. To Felize, a beautiful room is much like a great piece of music: every element in its place, leaving you with something you feel.

Our History The name bhundé (boon-DAY) comes from the Lozi language, where it means ‘beauty’. This meaning sits at the heart of the brand’s philosophy. Beauty is not only seen as visual elegance but as harmony between space, material, culture and human experience. bhundé interiors works across residential, commercial spaces and curated home pieces, designing interiors that feel refined yet deeply connected to their environment. At its core, bhundé interiors is about creating spaces that feel intentional, grounded and quietly beautiful.

Brand Story bhundé interiors was founded in 2021 from a deep appreciation for beauty found in everyday spaces and objects. The brand began with a desire to bring a more thoughtful and culturally grounded approach to interior design in Zambia. Growing from a passion for interiors, objects and atmosphere, bhundé interiors was created to design environments that feel both refined and authentic. bhundé interiors embraces a design approach that is calm, layered and sensitive to its surroundings. Through each project, bhundé interiors aims to create interiors that feel lived in, meaningful and enduring rather than temporary or overly stylised. The brand stands at the intersection of design, culture and craftsmanship, allowing each space to tell a story that feels personal and rooted.

Design Process Stage 1 Initial Consultation

The project begins with an initial consultation where bhundé interiors and the client discuss the design goals, lifestyle needs, aesthetic preferences, budget expectations, and project timeline. During this stage, bhundé interiors gathers information necessary to understand the space and the client’s vision. Site visits and measurements may also take place during this phase if required.

Stage 2 Concept Development

Following the consultation, bhundé interiors develops the initial design concept for the project. This stage may include mood boards, color palettes, furniture direction, material selections, and overall styling concepts that reflect the design vision for the space. The concept phase helps establish the overall direction of the project before moving into detailed design.

Stage 3 3D Visualization

Once the design concept has been approved, bhundé interiors prepares 3D renderings that allow the client to visualize the proposed design. These renderings illustrate the layout, furniture placement, décor elements, and spatial atmosphere of the completed space. The purpose of this stage is to ensure that the client has a clear understanding of the final design before procurement and implementation begin.

Stage 4 Procurement and Sourcing

After the design is approved, bhundé interiors will source and procure furniture, décor items, materials, and home pieces required for the project. The company works with a network of trusted suppliers, artisans, and manufacturers to obtain pieces that align with the design vision. Whenever possible, bhundé interiors prioritizes locally crafted items and Zambian artisans, ensuring that projects reflect local craftsmanship and support local creative industries

Stage 5 Installation and Styling

Once the necessary items have been procured, bhundé interiors coordinates delivery, installation, and final styling of the space. This stage includes arranging furniture, placing décor pieces, and completing the finishing touches necessary to bring the design to life. Upon completion, the space is presented to the client as a finished environment.
