Week commencing Monday 12 October
Welcome Welcome to our first edition Welcome to the MLC Stars Netball Spring Fling season for 2026! On behalf of the entire coaching and staff team, we are excited to have you involved and cannot wait for the season ahead. This is the first edition of our netball newsletter. While there have been many versions of a newsletter in the past, this one is designed to bring all the key program information together in one place, so that families receive fewer messages at different points across the week. We hope it becomes a great addition to how we communicate with families across the program. As a current member of the MLC Stars Netball Program, you are receiving this newsletter because your daughter is registered for the Term 4 Spring Fling program. This season we have 28 MLC teams taking the court at Boroondara Netball Association (Macleay Park), each with a dedicated coach. We are committed to building a culture that grows and maintains students’ participation in netball, and to providing a safe and supportive space where students can strengthen friendships outside the classroom.
Help us name the newsletter! We would love your help choosing a name for our newsletter. If you or your daughter have a suggestion, please submit it here: Netball Newsletter Name – Fill in form
Uniform Requirements We have noticed that some students have been wearing their House tops to games. Netball Connect Thank you to the many families who have already completed Netball Connect. Most of our players are now registered, but not everyone has completed it yet. If your daughter is yet to complete Netball Connect, please make sure this is done prior to this weekend’s game on Saturday 17 October. Please use the link for your daughter’s year level: Years 2–4: Netball Connect registration – Years 2–4 Years 5–11: Netball Connect registration – Years 5–11
News and Notices Attendance at games: We love seeing everyone on court each Saturday! If your daughter arrives a little late, no stress – she will still be marked as attending and simply noted as late. If a player is absent without an explanation, we will get in touch with you as her parent, just to check in. Fees: Please note all charges for Spring Fling have been sent to family accounts. If your daughter is no longer playing and you have been charged, please make sure to follow up with Family Accounts and myself.
Spring Fling Round 1 wrap-up and Round 2 preview Round 1 of the Spring Fling is done! Thank you to all our players, coaches and families for a great start to the competition.
