‘All-In’ Podcast at CES on AI Fundamentally Reshaping Investment Strategy, M&A, and Hiring BY STEWART WOLPIN Venture capitalists once sought entrepreneurs who might buck the established order and take on legacy giants. But in the age of AI, venture capitalists are now just as likely to buy a struggling company to bring them into the modern age. This shift in how venture capitalists operate was the primary topic of a taping of the popular All-In podcast hosted by former investor Jason Calacanis. Calacanis was joined on the CES 2026 stage by Bob Sternfels, McKinsey & Company’s global managing partner, and Hemant Taneja, CEO of General Catalyst. “I haven’t met a CEO yet that isn’t talking about how do I get my organization moving faster,” Sternfels reported. “It’s quite frankly less about strategy. It’s more about organizational speed.” The launch of ChatGPT in November 2022 coincided with today’s “peak ambiguity,” offered Teneja, “of massive geopolitical change. You have an incredible amount of change around every country trying to drive strategic economy in different industries, and all those dynamics keep changing. Underneath that, our tool of implementation is technology that keeps changing.” How AI is speeding technology changes, along with the speed of revenues and value growth in today’s AI-fueled business environment, also present new challenges. “What are you building toward as to what the world’s going to look like so you can have enduring value?” Taneja posed. “What does scale really mean?
From left: All-In host Jason Calacanis; Bob Sternfels, global managing partner of McKinsey & Company; and Hemant Taneja, CEO of General Catalyst
What are we in the business of creating? And then, what are you building with where the technologies you’re using aren’t going to destroy your value proposition over time?” Long-term viability in the AI age obviously means making organizational changes such as in data infrastructure and understanding AI’s ability to do more with less. But one way for companies to cope with long-term corporate viability is to adjust who they hire and especially reskilling employees to adapt and adopt new tech.
“The half-life of skills [is] getting shorter and shorter,” Sternfels asserts. “For an employer, the return on investment that you give an employee in terms of skills has shrunk by about half over the last 30 years. It used to be about seven years return. It’s about 3.6 years now, and that’s only getting shorter and shorter as things change. Are we teaching people to continue to learn? Are you skilling people to actually become superhuman by leveraging agents? That becomes a skill. And I don’t think we’re actually equipping that right now.”
D.O.N Unveils Vital Belt Belt-Type Sensing Wearable BOOTH 56348 D.O.N Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Nagoya, Japan), the company behind the inner-down specialist brand Taion, is announcing the planned 2027 release of Vital Belt, touted by the company as the world’s first abdominal belt-type sensing wearable device. Vital Belt combines concepts cultivated through years of apparel development with cutting-edge millimeter-wave sensing technology. According to the company, it introduces an entirely new approach to daily health monitoring that is both non-invasive and effortless.
CES.TECH
Unlike conventional smartwatches or ring-type wearables, Vital Belt does not require direct contact with the skin. Even when worn over clothing, it can measure breathing, pulse, and body movement. Until now, the idea of using short-range millimeterwave emission to sense subtle body motion had not been explored. This new approach enables the visualization of physiological data that has traditionally been difficult to capture. Multiple patents have been obtained for vital sensor attachment methods at the belt position. The device aims to detect subtle changes such as
breathing patterns, early signs of stress, and postural imbalance. Looking ahead, the abdominal sensing position opens possibilities for future applications, including observation related to fetal activity and gut conditions; cellular activation through frequency-based approaches that raise deep body temperature; and conditioning applications based on the brain-gut connection These developments could extend Vital Belt into both medical and wellness fields. In addition, the belt section can be customized by changing its design, material, and color, allowing users to enjoy it like an accessory.

Sony Honda Mobility AFEELA Nears Reality, Shows New Prototype BY JOHN SCIACCA The joint automotive venture between Sony and Honda, Sony Honda Mobility (SHM), has been teased, discussed, and showed at CES since 2020, and now the vehicle, branded the AFEELA 1, is closer than ever to being released in the wild. A QR code at the A FEELA-branded booth #202800 takes you to a website—shm-afeela.com— where you can drop a $200 deposit to pre-order one of the two models: either the base trim AFEELA 1 Origin, which will be offered in a black-on-black finish and start at $89,900, and will be available sometime in 2027; or the premium AFEELA 1 Signature model that will start at $102,900 and be offered in three colors, and will be available for California customers sometime in late-2026. At a press event held at the booth, SHM president and chief operating officer Izumi Kawanishi took the stage to exclaim that they are excited about the future of mobility, and in the three years since SHM has been established, the automotive industry has seen diverse innovation and growth and is evolving into an interactive experience. Kawanishi claims AFEELA is built on a vision to redefine the relationship between people and mobility, and “being in a car will no longer be about driving,” instead making the most of your time and space while you move. “Cars will understand the passenger’s preferences and feelings,” Kawanishi said, and “the relationship will become an interactive dialogue.” To accomplish this, SHM is developing Vehicle AI that will deliver user experiences and two-way communication that will go beyond traditional vehicle OS and “create experiences that foster a truly symbiotic relationship with the driver.” AFEELA’s conversational agent will be powered by Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Digital Chassis. SHM has had a strategic partnership with Qualcomm since the beginning, and the companies share a vision to redefine mobility, creating smarter, safer, and more engaging journeys. Qualcomm executive VP and group VP of automotive, Nakul Duggal, said that next generation Snapdragon Digital Chassis will include Generative AI to deeply personalize intuitive in-cabin experiences and seamless interaction across devices, with cloudconnected architecture to ensure safety, security, and enhancement ultimately making vehicles smarter, safer, and more intuitive. “AFEELA represents a bold step forward in redefining mobility,” Duggal stated, “and we’re thrilled
CES.TECH
Music producer Tomoko Ida
that Snapdragon Digital Chassis is at the core of AFEELA.” As you would expect from Sony, in-cabin entertainment is vital to the experience, and AFEELA will deliver movies, music, gaming, and more. Kawanishi said that passengers will be able to enjoy entertainment on the panoramic screen and rear entertainment system, as well as customizable themes and uniquely visualized 3D maps, transforming the experience of mobility into a richer time. Further, AFEELA will take PlayStation Remote Play to the next level, being the first vehicle to offer Remote Play and letting players bring their PlayStation experience on the road to AFEELA’s entertainment system. SHM is also integrating franchising into experience, and popular gaming titles like Gran Turismo, Astrobot, and others will have interactive themes that can be incorporated into AFEELA’s dashboard. To produce a sound experience for AFEELA, SMH turned to Tomoko Ida, one of the most soughtafter female music producers in Japan, who created a sound that makes the act of moving and the sonic experience more enjoyable. Ida commented, “For the Emotor sound, I was inspired by the idea of blending Japanese and Western styles,” and she hopes “people can feel the quiet but powerful energy in the sound.” In 2025, SMH welcomed over 100,000 visitors and conducted more than 25,000 in-cabin demonstrations, receiving very positive customer feedback about the brands, design, and features of AFEELA. Only 22% of interested customers already own an EV, meaning that AFEELA will be the first step for the majority in owning an EV. There are currently four AFEELA studios, all located in California, but they are looking to expand into Arizona in 2027. These vehicles will be on display at the Sony Honda Mobility Central Hall booth #20800.

Hisense Brings Growth, Innovation, and Attainability BY JOHN SCIACCA While the Hisense’s theme for 2026 is “Innovating a Brighter Life,” at the company’s media event, deputy general manager, David Gold, commented that, “Innovation isn’t just about technology, it’s about developing products that make life better and more entertaining.” Gold reminisced how the company has grown from a small booth in the Las Vegas Convention Center’s South Hall 10 years ago with just a few products, where Hisense was not a household name, but a company with a lot of ambition. Now, Hisense is one of the fastest growing consumer electronics brands in the world, operating in more than 160 countries, with over 64 global offices, 37 industrial parks, and 30 R&D centers. The company is also the global #1 brand in 100-inch-plus TV sizes, the #1 brand in laser TV, and the global #2 for total TV shipments. Last year Hisense picked up more than 50 awards at CES, including innovation awards, editor’s choice, and best of show. Beyond leading in product innovation, Hisense wants to make the best technology attainable, striving to get the newest and best technology into people’s hands faster than anyone else, and it accomplishes this through growth and innovation. Last year, Hisense was first to launch an RGB Mini LED TV, and while other brands were holding this technology back, keeping top performance features locked behind premium pricing, Hisense was scaling it, following the company’s belief that great technology should be available for everyone. Hisense also pushed to make ultra-short-throw projection technology mainstream, stating this isn’t just a category that the company entered, but one that
Dennys Li, president of Hisense Visual Technology
it built, and now this is one of the fastest growing segments in home entertainment. Gold stressed that Hisense is not following the trends, but rather they are the trendsetters, and the company is pushing RGB Mini LED even further in 2026. While most brands spent the last decade chasing brightness, Hisense focused on color fidelity, range, and realism. This focus led to laser TV and RGB TV, with sizes ranging from 55 to 116 inches. Gold discussed the importance of color in filmmaking, pointing out iconic moments from The Wizard of Oz, Avatar, The Matrix, and Inside Out where color helped tell the story. “Color is what moves us,” Gold said. “Color can control our emotions, set the stage, and help you feel. Color adds a heartbeat to the picture.” In line with this, Dennys Li, president of Hisense Visual Technology, took the stage to introduce the new RGB Mini LED evo, which he says is not just an upgrade but a revolution, and represents the pinnacle of display technology. The new display pushes color to limits of human perception and is able to display colors that were once impossible to reproduce. The new UX-series Mini LED display will utilize a first-ever four primary color backlight, add-
ing a “sky blue” LED. This not only enables the display to set a new benchmark of color reproduction, able to reach up to 110% of the BT.2020 color space, but it also avoids the most harmful blue light. Li said the new display has 60% less harmful blue light than a QD OLED display and 75% less than traditional Mini LED technologies, and it does this while being 30% more energy efficient. The display is powered by Hisense’s new Hi-View AI RGB Engine processor, with AI RGB and 134-bit color processing. The display will also feature a Devialet Opéra de Paris 6.2.2 audio system to complete a theatrical experience. Li also discussed the company’s new flagship laser projector for 2026, the XR10 laser display. This model incorporates a new 3.0 Digital Laser Engine with fully upgraded chipset and pure RGB triple laser light source to reach 6,000 ANSI lumens and deliver contrast up to 600:1, producing images up to 300 inches. Finally, the company unveiled the 163MX, the industry’s first four-primary color RGBY-based Micro LED display. This 163-inch display has already garnered a CES 2026 Best of Innovation award and is on display at the company’s booth. All these products are on display at the company’s booth #17704 located in Central Hall.

Siemens CEO Proclaims New Industrial AI Revolution BY STEWART WOLPIN Supported by Nvidia’s Jason Huang and Microsoft’s Satya Nadella, Siemens president and CEO Roland Busch used his CES keynote to declare a new Industrial AI revolution via new AI-enabled digital twin technology. “The industrial AI revolution has already begun,” Busch insisted, “and it’s picking up steam faster than steam ever did. In fact, steam took 60 years to transform society, electricity 30, computers 15. For AI, we’re looking at seven years or less before intelligence is embedded in the systems we rely on every day.” Industrial AI “stops being a feature,” Busch continued. “It becomes a force, a force with direct realworld impact, a force that transforms how we design and build, how factories produce, how infrastructure operates, how the world powers itself.” To support his declaration, Busch announced Siemens’ Digital Twin Composer, a new software solution able to build industrial digital twin metaverse environments that use real-time physical data to design, create, simulate, optimize, and build not only devices but entire factories. Powering Composer is the next-gen Nvidia Rubin platform, announced at CES on Monday. Rubin, named after pioneering astronomer Vera Rubin, is comprised of six new CPU and GPU chips designed to create an AI supercomputer consisting of 220 trillion transistors. With Nvidia’s Rubin platform, AI could be taught the laws of physics “to emulate the outcome of physics,” Huang told Busch, “essentially guessing where the physical properties are going to go at the next second, or the next nanosecond and next microsecond. We could speed up physics simulations and experi-

mentations 10,000 times, 100,000 times.” AI could one day be powered by fusion energy. Partnering with Siemens and Nvidia, Massachusettsbased Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) used CES to announce a digital twin of its SPARC fusion machine, which could be the first commercially viable fusion reactor that creates more energy than it takes to operate it. A c c ord i n g t o c o -fou nd e r a nd CE O B ob Mumgaard, CFS is building a fusion machine in Virginia able to generate 400 megawatts of power to power an AI data center. “Google has agreed to buy the power that is getting started here soon,” Mumgaard added. Just how pervasive will AI eventually be? “Electricity today, those of us in this room barely think about it,” Busch observed. “Our lights turn on, our coffee machines run, our computers charge. Electricity is a fact of life. Soon, industrial AI will become a fact of life,” and will become “the invisible fabric of our lives.”

Hyundai’s Robot Era Begins BY GRANT MORGAN Hyundai Motor Group and Boston Dynamics wowed attendees at its CES 2026 press conference on Tuesday afternoon with the first public appearance of the humanoid robot, Atlas. Introduced by Aya Durbin, humanoid application, production lead, Boston Dynamics, and Zachary Jackowski, vice president, general manager of Atlas, Boston Dynamics, Atlas strutted across the stage in fluid motion, waving, flexing and bending with ease. “This is technology that is built for humanity,” said Merry Frayne, director of spot product management, Boston Dynamics. “Technology that supports us, extends our capabilities, makes our work safer, and, in some cases, more meaningful.” Hyundai framed its strategy around “human-centered automation,” and Atlas is designed with that idea baked in. Unlike the earlier research versions seen jumping and running online, this Atlas is built for industry first: predictable behavior, collaborative safety, and the ability to plug into existing workflows instead of forcing factories to rebuild around it. Atlas offers 56 degrees of freedom, fully rotational joints, and human-scale hands with tactile sensing. It can lift up to 110 pounds, remain operational in washdown environments, and stay on the floor longer thanks to its automatic battery-swapping function. Hyundai says most tasks can be trained in less than a day—a critical point if robots are going to scale beyond pilot programs. The rollout plan is just as notable. Atlas will first go to Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America in Georgia, where it will begin handling parts sequencing in 2028 before moving into more complex assembly tasks by 2030. Each phase is tied to safety and performance validation, setting expectations that this is a slow, deliberate build toward commercialization. Behind the scenes, Hyundai is wiring Atlas into a larger robotics ecosystem. Data from its Software-Defined Factory platform will continuously retrain the robot, while a dedicated Robot Metaplant Application Center, opening in 2026, will refine collaborative human-robot workflows. Hyundai is also preparing mass production capacity and a subscription-based Robotics-as-a-Service model aimed at lowering adoption costs. Then there’s the software side of the story, as Boston Dynamics announced a partnership with Google DeepMind to develop AI systems that help humanoids reason, adapt, and interact more naturally. Combined with Hyundai’s manufacturing footprint, the

goal is clear: Move humanoids from research labs into everyday operations. Hyundai’s message at CES isn’t that robots will replace people. Instead, it argued that the riskiest, most exhausting jobs finally have another option as workers shift toward oversight, training, and higher-skill roles. “Even in a highly automated era, people remain essential. Supervising, guiding, and maintaining ro-
bot colleagues, always maintaining full control,” said Woong Jae Lee, vice president, manufacturing solution division, CIO, Hyundai Motor Group, Boston Dynamics. “As automation grows, the human role will become even more important.” Atlas isn’t just a prototype anymore; it’s a sign that humanoid robots are finally getting ready to work alongside us.

Doosan Bobcat Brings the Future of Work, Today BY WAYNE CAVADI For nearly 70 years, Doosan Bobcat has redefined how work gets done on the jobsite. The company came to its eighth CES introducing a wave of new AI and nextgeneration intelligence designed to simplify work and give jobsite confidence to operators, dealers, and customers alike. Per a report from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers, more than 40% of the United States’ construction workforce will retire by 2031. That means machines need to be designed for those new to them, as well as for the 20-year veterans on the jobsite. That’s why, explained Scott Park, CEO and vice chairman, Doosan Bobcat, the company has transformed from a hardware-only carrier to an intelligent, software-enabled ecosystem. Buzzwords like AI, electrification, autonomy, and connectivity are dominating the CES floor, and visitors to Bobcat’s booth will see all four in action. Under the slogan “Watch Us,” Bobcat attempts to do today what many expect can only be done in the distant future. Joel Honeyman, VP of global innovation, Doosan Bobcat, took the stage to unveil four new, AI-enabled powered solutions. He reminded us that these intelligent solutions are not here to replace the worker, but to empower those who get the work done, whether it is a brand-new employee or a veteran in the construction industry. The four innovations set to simplify the operator’s experience are: Bobcat Jobsite Companion: AI-driven, this intelligent solution can be personalized to each operator and partner on the jobsite to provide clarity and seamless in-

Before Park and Honeyman left the stage, they sur- Joel Honeyman prised the crowd with one last announcement. The two shared the concept of the RogueX3, combining autonomy, electrification, connectivity, and modularity into one machine. Or, as Park said, it isn’t simply a machine, but a platform to enable the future of work, turning challenges into solutions. It is designed to fit the work that needs to be done, and while currently electric, can also be hybrid, diesel, or even hydrogen powered. “Were not changing who gets the job done,” Park concluded. “We’re transforming how the job gets done.” Visit booth #5840 in the West Hall to find out more.
BOOTH 61660 VENETIAN Tethral has unveiled a new geometric communication primitive designed to address the chaotic realities of IoT orchestration before classical semantic packet transfer begins. Early results show up to 23 times faster coordination, alongside faster routing, smaller payloads, and lower latency. Downstream benefits include tighter fan-out control, earlier degradation signals, and native cryptographic resilience. Rather than treating cost, efficiency, and performance as inevitable tradeoffs, Tethral’s approach delivers all three, enabling safer, greener, and faster AI coordination across large-scale connected systems. As part of the announcement, Tethral opened limited pilot licensing slots for select partners, with early interest from data centers, AI-native startups, space, and defense technology organizations exploring next-generation coordination infrastructure.

Copilot.cx Intros Copilot STAR Smart Home Solution
Neurosurgery Game Changer: Ean Hightech MedNeuro3D
BOOTH 52049 Copilot.cx is introducing Copilot STAR, a breakthrough smarthome solution that empowers manufacturers to launch next-generation connected products on any IoT platform with one unified app and framework. Copilot STAR aims to democratize the Smart Home industry and deliver what has been missing in the consumer IoT world: one app, many platforms, meaning manufacturers can now build smart-home products on multiple IoT tech-stacks and still deliver a single, unified app experience to their customers. Instead of requiring a separate app for each smart-home device, Copilot STAR enables multiple IoT services to live inside a single consumer-facing app, fully owned by the brand. This eliminates one of the biggest pain points in smart-home adoption: every device requiring its own app and setup process. With Copilot STAR, lighting, sensors, security devices, thermostats, and appliances can all live in one app environment regardless of which IoT platform powers them. “Smart-home technology has accelerated, but fragmentation continues to limit growth,” said Zvi Frank, Copilot.cx CEO. “Copilot STAR is designed to simplify complexity, making it easier for manufacturers to develop products, easier for retailers to merchandise smart-home categories, and easier for consumers to control connected devices in their homes. Our mission is simple: democratize the smart home.”
BOOTH 50523 Ean Hightech’s MedNeuro3D A Ipowered software revolutionizes neurosurgical planning by transforming multi-angle MRI slices into a precise 3D brain tumor model. Unlike conventional AI tools focused solely on detection, it delivers actionable insights—visualizing tumor structure, location, volume, and boundaries with surgical clarity. Clinicians can swiftly design patient-specific treatment strategies, optimize surgical paths, and avoid critical regions, enhancing both safety and precision. The generated 3D model supports remote collaboration, international consultation, and medical education, extending advanced planning capabilities to regions lacking high-end equipment or in-person care. By bridging gaps in medical accessibility, it empowers global healthcare equity. Patients benefit from improved understanding, reduced reoperation rates, and higher treatment success.

Mass Market Audio Is Stalling. Here’s Where Growth Lives. BY GUY HAMMETT, HEAD OF HOME AUDIO, FUTURESOURCE CONSULTING
GETTY IMAGES
Walk the CES floor and the story is clear, the mass market for audio hardware is slowing. We’re long past the pandemic boom and demand for everyday devices such as Bluetooth speakers and headphones is slow. Consumer audio is huge, over $120 billion last year and growing at seven percent. Hearing health saw the largest growth at 10 percent, reaching $41bn, driven by premiumization and AI-powered features like sound processing and noise filtration. Gaming audio grew eight percent but remains niche at $3 billion. However, the core categories of home audio and headphones were the weakest performers. Home audio sat at $23 billion and declined one percent while headphones is larger at $55bn but grew at just four percent. For audio brands this presents a challenge. These products are still much used and loved by consumers, but a lack of innovation is delaying upgrades. The competitive landscape in largest categories of wireless speakers and TWS headphones is increasingly consolidated amongst a few large brands. Due to this, many audio brands are looking at adjacent categories for growth. A key area of focus is moving up in price point. When you strip out cheaper products and focus on devices above $200 the picture changes; the $78bn home audio a nd headphone market shrinks to $40bn, home
CES.TECH
audio jumps to nearly 40 percent of value, and the mix shifts toward soundbars, Wi-Fi speakers, and loudspeakers. Headphones still dominate, but the balance between TWS and over-ear shifts away from TWS and over-ear models with advanced noise cancellation and a high degree of comfort become increasingly relevant. Going further up in price point, the size of the market for devices over $500 falls to $8bn, but home audio dominates with almost 90 percent of value. Soundbars and loudspeakers lead the way, over $500 is very premium for a wireless speaker whereas there are hugely popular soundbars in the $500-$1,000 range and an increasing number of options above even $1000. For loudspeakers, the bulk of this market is over $500. Legacy audio buyers remain willing to spend big. On the headphone side, above $500 is almost all around super-premium over-ear with a small amount of specialist in-ear monitors. As spending rises, product mix shifts: headphones dominate the mass market, while home audio leads in premium
PREMIUM AUDIO: WHERE BRANDS CAN WIN Premium audio is gaining traction as its consumer base evolves. Historically, this market
was dominated by audiophiles who valued separate components, wired connections, and specialist retail channels. Today, digital-native Millennials are reshaping demand. They want better sound but refuse to sacrifice the convenience of wireless audio. Futuresource’s Audio Tech Lifestyles consumer research shows audio quality consistently ranks as the top purchase driver; however, ease of use is increasingly important. Winning in premium is no longer about chasing audiophile perfection. It’s about creating products that feel effortless, integrated, and aspirational. Consumers expect audio that complements their lifestyle; design-led aesthetics, intuitive controls, and connectivity that works without friction. A premium soundbar or wireless speaker should look as good as it sounds, blending into modern interiors while delivering cinematic performance. For headphones, comfort and durability now rival audio fidelity, especially as hybrid work and travel increase listening hours. Technology matters, but only when it adds real value. Features like adaptive EQ, automatic room calibration, and AI-driven noise optimization should work invisibly, making premium feel smart and simple, not complex.
THE OPPORTUNITY AHEAD The slowdown in massmarket audio is a challenge for many audio brands, but also it represents an opportunity. Growth is shifting to more premium segments where buyers want products that integrate seamlessly into their lives, deliver tangible benefits, and justify their price. Competing on price alone is now a dead end. Instead, success will come from combining superior audio performance with design, usability, and intelligent features that enhance everyday life. Those who adapt quickly will capture the most profitable share of the premium market and secure long-term relevance. Those who don’t risk being left behind in a world where convenience, personalization, and quality define the future of audio.

described by the company as the first residential water heater that generates both hot water and financial return by repurposing excess heat from processors performing high-value computing tasks. The H1 uses the same energy as a standard electric water heater yet delivers far higher economic value through intelligent waste heat recovery and leveraging processor characteristics. Traditional water heaters use electricity for a single purpose. The Superheat H1 instead captures pro-
cessor heat from intensive computing workloads and uses it to heat water at high efficiency, turning previously wasted energy into measurable monthly value. Intelligent control systems and a high-performance thermal pathway ensure consistent hot-water delivery and reliable compute output. Designed for homes, multi-unit buildings, and commercial facilities, the H1 matches the cost and power consumption of conventional heaters while offering superior long-term economics and lower carbon impact.

New LG Innotek Automotive Lighting Solution Honored Again BOOTH 3800 LG Innotek has taken home a CES 2026 Innovation Award for its newly developed Ultra Thin Pixel Lighting Module for automobiles, marking two consecutive Innovation Awards for the company’s automotive lighting solutions. Unveiled for the first time at CES 2026, the Ultra Thin Pixel Lighting Module offers dramatically reduced thickness, size, and weight compared to existing lighting solutions. Traditional vehicle lighting modules incorporate plastic lenses or reflective optical components in the LED, inevitably resulting in heavy and bulky modules. To overcome these drawbacks, LG Innotek independently developed the industry’s first reflective optical component made from white silicone material. Designed with a structure that maximizes the lightreflecting properties of the color white, this component can achieve uniform brightness. It also means that additional plastic lenses or separate components for light reflection are no longer necessary. The Ultra Thin Pixel Lighting Module incorpo-
rating this component is 0.12 inches thick, 71 percent thinner than existing products. This reduced thickness has also significantly lowered the product’s weight. Despite this, luminous efficiency has improved by 30 percent compared to previous models. In addition, the Ultra Thin Pixel Lighting Module significantly enhances the V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) communication capability of vehicle lighting.

InsBotics Desktop Robot Built for ‘Extreme Lifelikeness’ BOOTH 53773, VENETIAN Beijing InsBotics Technology Co., Ltd. is introducing Robie, a desktop companion that moves beyond the cold, mechanical nature of traditional hardware. With its round, “Mochi-like” appearance and incredibly agile movements, Robie is designed to offer warmth, healing, and genuine connection. Robie is currently in the advanced engineering prototype stage and is scheduled for market launch in April 2026. Robie’s magic lies in its proprietary 5-Axis Generative Motion Engine (two ears, two hands, and base rotation). Unlike robots with stiff, repetitive movements, Robie is fluid and organic. When happy, Ro-
bie’s ears wiggle rapidly, and it raises its little hands in joy. When sad, its ears droop down pitifully. It feels alive because it has instincts. Startle it, and it shrinks back; shake it, and its eyes spiral with dizziness; gently pet its forehead, and it closes its eyes to fall asleep. In early user co-creation, Robie demonstrated healing power across social circles. Robie fulfills InsBot-
ics’ mission--”To accompany, heal, and warm everyone with ‘life-like’ beings”--by serving diverse groups: from curious children needing a screen-free companion, to adults seeking emotional support in a lonely digital age, to silver-haired seniors longing for connection, and finally, to children with autism who have established unique, touching bonds with Robie.

AMD Keynote: AI Everywhere, For Everyone BY GRANT MORGAN Dr. Lisa Su, chair and CEO of AMD, shared her vision for delivering future AI solutions at the CES 2026 opening keynote session on Monday evening, alongside innovators and executives spanning the healthcare, space, science, agentic and physical AI, gaming, and PC industries. Su’s keynote centered on AMD’s motto of “AI Everywhere, For Everyone,” the idea that artificial intelligence is just beginning its transformation of computing and society, and that AMD’s technology is poised to power that future. “This moment in tech not only feels different, AI is different,” Su enthused. “AI is the most powerful tech that has ever been created, and it can be everywhere for everyone.” Additionally, Su underscored AI as the defining force in technology today, likening its adoption to the rapid rise of the internet and mobile phones. She projected up to five billion active users within five years as AI becomes indispensable across cloud services, enterprise workflows, personal computing, science, healthcare, and more, citing how AI usage grew from a million users to more than a billion in just a few years. At the heart of AMD’s presentation was the immediate need for an increase in compute capacity— the raw performance required to train, run, and scale modern AI workloads. Su highlighted that global compute demand has already jumped from about 1 zetaflop in 2022 to 100 zetaflops by 2025, and that meeting the future demands of increasingly smart
and agent-based AI will require expanding that capacity another 100 times toward the yottaflop era. To enable that vision, AMD introduced Helios, a next-generation AI infrastructure rack-scale platform designed for hyperscale data centers. Built around the newly unveiled Instinct MI455 accelerators and next-gen EPYC “Venice” CPUs, Helios integrates high-speed networking and modular rack design to deliver up to 2.9 exaflops per rack. This tightly engineered system uses advanced 2 nm/3 nm process tech and HBM4 memory to create a scalable backbone for frontier models and real-time inference at massive scale. AMD also showcased a broader portfolio that reflects its all-layer AI strategy: from edge hardware to PCs and cloud infrastructure. On the client side, AMD highlighted Ryzen AI 400 Series processors and the AI Halo developer platform, aimed at bringing personalized AI performance to PCs. And in the data center, AMD continues to extend its footprint: Instinct accelerators power major cloud providers and advanced AI systems, while newer MI400-series variants like the MI440X target enterprise AI and sovereign AI applications. Part of AMD’s emphasis during the keynote was also on the company’s ecosystem focus. Su reiterated that open software, anchored by AMD’s RockM stack with day-zero support for major frameworks, is essential for developers to build and scale AI efficiently. Beyond silicon, the CES showcase spotlighted real-world impact scenarios: AI accelerating scientif-

ic research, healthcare diagnostics, and autonomous systems, from models that combine multimodal data to partnerships expanding AI vision for automotive autonomy. “We’re entering this era of Yotta-scale computing, where the deployment of more powerful models everywhere will require a massive increase in the amount of compute in the world,” said Su. “Meeting that demand will take a broad portfolio of solutions from the largest systems in the cloud to AI PCs to embedded computing. And just as important, it takes an open ecosystem to build the industry standards. All of us are working together to bring AI everywhere for everyone.”
