An Egg-celent Easter at The Women and Children’s Campus

Under the warm Las Vegas April sun, families enjoyed an Easter egg hunt, festive baskets filled with goodies, a bouncy castle, and even a special visit from the Easter Bunny himself at the Women and Children’s Campus’s Easter party! We’d like to thank Ninth Island Aunties for donating Easter baskets – and a special shoutout to the Easter Bunny for spreading several thousand eggs across our lawn for everyone to find!

“It showed us we can still have fun in recovery! I was so happy to see everyone with their kids. It was so nice to be around such wonderful people for this holiday.”

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple Volunteers Bring Joy to WestCare

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, an amazing group of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) Temple volunteers, missionaries, and enthusiastic adolescents and children gathered at the Women and Children’s Campus for a day of volunteer work and cleanup. This event not only enhanced the physical environment but also fostered bonds of friendship and laughter among participants.

Under the warm Vegas sun, the volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got to work. Armed with gardening tools, they pulled weeds from the gardens, transforming overgrown patches into vibrant spaces where flowers could bloom once again. The sound of laughter filled the air as children joined in, their small hands eager to contribute to the transformation.

Painting was another highlight of the day. Volunteers brought color back to tired walls, turning drab spaces into cheerful, inviting areas. As they painted, stories were shared, jokes were exchanged, and the sense of camaraderie grew stronger,

creating a lively atmosphere that made the work feel less like a chore and more like a celebration.

Trash that had accumulated over time was meticulously cleaned up, leaving the grounds looking pristine and welcoming. The effort put forth by everyone involved not only beautified the Village but also exemplified the spirit of service, showing how a little hard work can go a long way in making a positive impact. Both WestCare and the Temple share a common goal: to uplift and support those in need. This day of service was a testament to that commitment and an opportunity to build lasting relationships.

As the sun began to set, the volunteers left with smiles on their faces and a sense of accomplishment in their hearts. The Women and Children’s Village at WestCare is now a little brighter, thanks to their hard work and dedication. Everyone at WestCare is immensely grateful for the support and partnership that continues to grow, reminding us all that together, we can make a difference.

We wantto thankShawn, Brandy, andKevinfortheir contributions, as wellas WestCare'sownKellieandScotty.
