Our goal is to ensure a smooth and memorable move-in experience for you. Before move-in day, please make sure to have your: ASU® ID
MyASU® account
You must have your Mobile ID or an acceptable ID prior to move-in. Upload your photo online. Once your photo is approved, you will receive a confirmation email with directions on how to request your ASU® ID. This is required to access residence halls and meal plans.
Log in to your student account for more information on your housing assignment, move-in date and time, campus location and so much more!
rst Steps Fast Pass 48 hours prior to move-in, you will receive a link to your required Housing Fast Pass. This is your ticket to move-in and will provide more information about your move-in process including the map, date, location and more. You must have your Fast Pass and ASU® ID when you arrive on campus.
Move-in checklist Prepared Sun Devils® will make sure all items on the Move-in Checklist are complete in order to have an efficient and smooth move-in experience.
Immunizations To avoid delays in receiving your move-in date and time, please log-in to your My ASU® account and check your Priority Tasks for immunization holds. If a hold is listed, upload your MMR immunization records or schedule a vaccination appointment through the My Health Portal.

Renters insurance ASU highly encourages each student to have renters insurance. Renters insurance is a great way to protect your personal belongings in the event of an unexpected incident like a fire, water leaks or any other incurred damage. There are many options for renters insurance, like bundling with auto insurance. You could even check with your parents’ homeowner’s insurance to determine if they cover your college residence hall. Ensure that you are doing your research when selecting renters insurance and reading customer reviews and feedback.
Move-in Checklist Before move-in day
Rented items
` Visit My ASU® for your move-in time, date and check-in location. In order to ensure an efficient move-in, move-in dates and times are assigned to each student. Your assistance in adhering to your assigned move-in date and time is critical.
` Order the Sustainable Water Delivery Service from University and Student Services (USS). *USS offers additional services that may vary by campus.

` Check Priority Tasks on My ASU for any holds. If a hold is listed, upload your MMR immunization records or schedule a vaccination appointment through the My Health Portal. Note: You will not be given a move-in date or time if this task is not complete.
` Rent a MicroFridge® from University and Student Services (USS). (MicroFridges® are included at Casa De Oro, Manzanita and Tooker House). ` Gordon Commons residents may opt to rent a MicroFridge® here.
` If you would like to safely store your vaccination records digitally, you may upload your vaccination card in your Student Health Portal. ` You must have your ASU® ID prior to move-in. Upload your photo online. Once your photo is approved, you will receive a confirmation email with next steps. ` Find your roommate’s contact information on the summary page of your Housing Portal. ` Purchase a Parking Permit. ` Sign up for ASU® Text Alerts and download the free ASU® LiveSafe mobile app. ` Purchase new bed linens for your new room. Bed sizes vary depending on room styles, residence hall and campus. Check your hall page for details.
Life as a ® Sun Devil
Before you arrive at campus ` Review your rights and responsibilities with the Arizona Board of Regents Student Code of Conduct. ` Read and understand the following: ` Academic Integrity Policy and University Expectations on alcohol, drug and tobacco use. ` ASU® Housing Policies and understand your obligation as a community member. ` Pre-order your textbooks for the fall semester during the first week of August.
Move-in day
` Secure renter’s insurance.
` Access your Housing Fast Pass 48 hours before move-in day. This is your ticket to move-in and will provide more information about your move-in process including the map, date, location and more. ` Bring your ASU® ID to move-in. This is required for access to residence halls and meal plans. ` You must have your Fast Pass and ASU® ID when you arrive on campus. ` Packing Tips: ` All items and boxes should be labeled with your first and last name, residence hall and room number.
Pre-shipping items Polytechnic, Tempe, and West Valley Residents: You are able to use the USS From-Home-to-Room program and have items delivered to your room prior to your arrival. Items must be received by USS prior to July 30, 2025. If you wish to personally ship your own items, you can pick up your mail and packages when you arrive on campus. Your mailing and shipping address information will be published on your My ASU® account no later than Aug. 1, 2025. Downtown Residents: Your mailing and shipping address will be published on your My ASU® account when it is assigned (no later than Aug. 1, 2025). You can ship items to your direct mailing address and pick them up when you arrive on campus.
` Consolidate all items into one vehicle to reduce the amount of cars in the unloading zones.
Move-in Day Our priority is ensuring an efficient move-in experience. Due to spacing limitations and University regulations, only one vehicle per move-in student will be allowed. U-Hauls, moving vans, large trucks or trailers are not permitted and will be turned away. Please contact University Housing if you have any questions.
What to expect Sun Devils® will check-in during their assigned move-in date and time as indicated on your My ASU® student account and Housing Portal. Once you check in, you will be directed to follow a specific route. It is imperative that you follow the directions provided even if you think you know a different route to reduce wait time for you and your peers. Moving assistance will be provided at each residential community to help lighten your load. Note: Early arrivals do not receive moving assistance.

Move-in dates/times are assigned in order to ensure a quality experience and decrease traffic delays and/ or wait times. Please check in at your assigned date/ time. Additionally, be aware that existing construction projects may result in traffic delays. Please pay attention to all posted traffic and movein directional signage.
August temperatures in Arizona are regularly in tripledigits, and we are prone to experiencing sudden monsoon rainstorms. Be sure to check the weather during your move-in day and plan accordingly. Also, drink plenty of water throughout your move-in!
Join ASU® in being #1 in sustainability! After you are all moved in, consider some of these zero waste tips and tricks to stay sustainable while moving to campus. This small action helps divert hundreds of pounds of waste. Find your closest move-in recycling area.

Stomp the bus
ASU® students and members of the surrounding community are welcome to kick off the pre-game celebrations by enjoying free party games and swag, live entertainment with special guests and so much more! Not on the Tempe campus? Shuttle buses are available from the surrounding campuses so that Sun Devils® can get to the heart of the action in Tempe on game day.
Throw up your pitchforks to the tune of “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC and welcome your Sun Devil® football team. When Sparky stomps the opposing team’s bus the team will storm the field accompanied by cheers, the fight song and fireworks.
Watch parties
After every Sun Devil® score, Sparky will do one push-up for every point on the board. Count them out and participate in the “A-S-U” chant when he finishes!
Away games won’t stop us from participating in festivities! Bring your friends and families and join us in screening some of the biggest college football games, including our very own Sun Devils®!
Maroon Mondays and Gold Fridays Students, faculty and staff wear maroon on Mondays and Gold on Fridays as an expression of Sun Devil® spirit and pride.
Game theme Every Sun Devil® should know the theme of the game! Most games we wear ASU® Gold, but some games are blackouts or maroon monsoons.

TGIF! Fork ‘em Devils A spirit-driven experience, occurring every Friday, that offers students delicious lunch specials from Aramark, great music from a live DJ, and giveaways to get pumped up for future events on the north end of the Tempe Memorial Union.
