WELCOME TO AROUND THE GROUNDS It has been amazing to see so many MLC girls being involved in weekly sport this term!

A great example of the HUGE numbers we have participating was this past Thursday, when we saw our 16!

MLC MS Badminton teams fixtured against each other!

The PEC was buzzing with Badminton! 7 courts, 32 matches, 64 Pairs, 128 players getting involved and having the best time doing so!

On top of the weekly sport, we are also right in the middle of the GSV Track & Field Carnivals with the MLC Athletics team set to compete in the Champs Day next week!

WATER POLO

IMPORTANT REMINDERS As you can see on the following page, this week is a smaller round of GSV with only Monday 25th (Seniors) and Tuesday 26th (Water Polo) having fixtured Round 5 matches.

There are NO GSV Matches on Wednesday 27th for MS and NO GSV Matches on Thursday 28th for JSS. This is due to both days being Track & Field Championship events for GSV. Good Luck to our MLC Athletics Team competing in the Div 1 event on Thursday 28th!

The season is speeding to its conclusion with FINALS for Senior Water Polo set for the next Tuesday, September 2nd, and all other sports playing their final round for Term 3!

FINALS will take place on the following dates so if your team is in the mix, please be sure to save the date!

Senior Water Polo - Tuesday 2nd September Senor Finals - Monday 8th September Intermediate Finals - Wednesday 10th September Junior Finals - Thursday 11th September Remember, you can check the ladders on the results link on the next page!

TERM 4 SIGN UPS - DON’T FORGET! TERM 4 GSV SIGN UPS ARE NOW OPEN! Pre planning has already started for Term 4 GSV! As we need to submit teams to GSV in just a couple of weeks we need you all to sign up as soon as you can!

The cut of date is September 1st.

Term 4 sports on offer are: Basketball (JSS, MS and SS) Cricket (JSS and Y9-12) Water Polo (JSS) Touch Football - NEW GSV sport this year! (JSS, MS and SS)

A reminder that the SENIOR GSV season is a condensed one to allow it to be all completed by the end of October and prior to exam and end of year study commitments. There are matches twice a week on both the Monday and Wednesday for 3 weeks, finals take place on Oct 29th.

The JSS and MS seasons go for 6 weeks, beginning in Week 2 and finals scheduled for Week 8, Nov 25th, 26th and 27th
