I believe our spaces should inspire that same sense of possibility. Design is not about finding one perfec t answer, but creating environments that encourage people to explore, imagine, and grow. Just as we experiment to shape our spaces, our spaces should inspire others to experiment with what is possible within themselves.

DUNEBROOK The Dunebrook project focused on creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the visitors and staff of Dunebrook, a nonprofit organization located in Michigan City, Indiana. Inspired by the organization’s mission of keeping children “Safe, Happy, and Healthy,” the design ensures that each space feels comfortable, uplifting, and inviting for all who visit. Drawing inspiration from Dunebrook’s logo and its connection to the Indiana Dunes, subtle elements such as curves, dune-like forms, and warm tones are incorporated throughout the design. To create a playful atmosphere for children, brighter colors such as pink, orange, and blue are used throughout the space. Together, these elements create an environment that reflects Dunebrook’s identity while balancing the different elements of design.
COLL ABORATION SPACE
THERAPY ROOM
The preliminary design stage helped with the organization and concept development of the space. Blocking diagrams were used to explore adjacencies. With the existing structure presenting acoustic and privacy concerns, space planning became an important part of the design process. Additional sketches explored opportunities for interactive wall features to enhance the user experience.

TAGEUK HOUSE The Tageuk House focuses on combining accessibility and cultural identity to create a home that is both functional and meaningful. The client required a fully accessible living environment that supports mobility, comfort, and independence while still reflecting elements of traditional Korean design. Inspired by the balance and harmony represented by the Korean taegeuk symbol, the design blends accessibility features with culturally influenced materials, forms, colors, and details. Thoughtful space planning,
accessible
clearances,
appropriate
reach
ranges, and adaptable furnishings were incorporated throughout the home to ensure that each space is easy to navigate and use. By balancing universal design principles with Korean cultural influences, the Tageuk House creates an environment that feels personal, welcoming,
and
connected
to
the
client’s
identity.
KITCHEN & DINING
During the preliminary design process for the Tageuk House, sketching was used to explore innovative ways to improve accessibility and functionality within the kitchen. A key concept was the development of rotating shelving, allowing frequently used items to be brought closer to the user and creating a more flexible and accessible storage solution.

CONNAN AUTO SHOP The Connan Project was a commercial design focused on
creating
a
sophisticated
automotive
showroom
and workplace that reflects the luxury, movement, and innovation of the Connan brand. Inspired by the form and movement of a speedometer, curved forms, bold red accents, warm wood tones, and sleek materials were incorporated throughout the space to create a sense of motion and energy. The Connan logo was also redesigned using the speedometer concept, strengthening the connection between the brand identity and interior environment. The overall design creates a cohesive experience between the showroom, reception, workplace, and collaborative spaces while balancing functionality with a high-end, modern atmosphere.
COLL ABORATIVE WORKSPACE
RECEPTION & WAITING
The preliminary sketches explore both logo development and interior design concepts. The first sketch features Connan’s final reimagined logo, inspired by the form and movement of a speedometer. This concept helped establish a visual direction that influenced the development of the interior space. You can also see the development of a rotating display table.

IVY TECH COWAN The Ivy Tech IT Remodel is inspired by the concept of connection, exploring what “wires” people together to create a collaborative and engaging learning environment. Drawing inspiration from the connectivity of a circuit board, the design reflects how individual components work together to form a functioning system. The remodel also connects students, faculty, and technology through flexible classrooms, labs, offices, and shared spaces that encourage communication, collaboration, and hands-on learning. Reflecting Ivy Tech’s values of Innovation, Integrity, and Impact, the design prioritizes
functionality,
acoustics,
clear
wayfinding,
accessibility, and integrated technology to create a welcoming, future-ready environment that supports student success.
RECEPTION DESK & WAITING
During the preliminary design process for the Ivy Tech Cowan Campus, bubble diagrams were used to explore spatial relationships. Initial sketches were also created to explore branding opportunities and design features that reflect Ivy Tech’s identity. These explorations helped establish a cohesive design direction inspired by connectivity and the circuit board concept.
