Procedure in event of fire
On hearing the fire alarm (a continuous wailing siren) you are requested to evacuate the Prevett Hall as directed.
Tonight’s concert, Around the World in 60 Minutes, invites you to experience the extraordinary diversity of global musica reminder that rhythm, melody, and storytelling are shared human languages. In just one hour, we travel across continents, cultures, and sound worlds, discovering how music reflects the identity, history, and imagination of people everywhere.
This celebration brings together every Junior School musical ensemble, showcasing the breadth of talent, curiosity, and commitment within our community. Each group contributes its own musical ‘passport stamp’, offering a glimpse into the colours and textures of music from around the world. We are also delighted to collaborate with the boys’ school through our Joint Choir and Chamber Orchestra.
As you journey with us this evening, we hope you hear not only the sounds of distant places, but also the deeper message that unites them: that music has the power to bring people together.
With grateful thanks to our visiting music teachers and music staff who have accompanied, conducted and supported rehearsals, and our estates and technical teams, whose expertise and behind-the-scenes work have made this concert possible.
Please enjoy the performance. Mr Woodward and Miss Rockley
