EASTER CHEER IN VISALIA San Joaquin Valley Veterans in Visalia brought joy to local Veterans and their families with a heartfelt Easter gathering. This event took place the week before Easter; as families arrived, children were greeted with colorful baskets filled with treats and surprises, creating a warm and festive atmosphere. In total, about 30 families attended, and every child received an Easter basket. The event was a meaningful way to show appreciation and build community, ensuring no child left without a smile. Way to go SJVV!
Welcome to the latest edition of The Loop. As we transition into the vibrant months of spring, we find ourselves reflecting on our guiding principle: Uplifting the Human Spirit. Throughout this issue, you will see exactly what that looks like in action, from the festive Easter baskets handed out to veteran families in Visalia to the life-changing housing and health milestones achieved by our Cal AIM clients.

This season is one of growth and "newness" for WestCare California. We are thrilled to welcome a host of new staff members across the state and celebrate the expansion of The Living Room in Fresno with its vital new PrEP & PEP Navigation program. We are also looking forward to a season of celebration, including our upcoming Graduation at Fresno City College on June 3rd, where we will honor the incredible resilience of our 2025 program graduates. In these pages, you’ll find stories of local impact, like the 90 pillows donated to our Wings Advocacy Fresno program by Fresno State students, and recognition, such as Craig Grant receiving the Core Award of Encouragement. Whether we are connecting with the community at Fresno State’s Vintage Days or supporting women in reentry at the Fresno Parole Complex, our mission remains the same: to empower those we serve with dignity and hope. Thank you for being part of our journey. Whether you are a new team member, a long-time partner, or a supporter, your commitment is what makes this work possible.
