WELCOME TO TERM 3 GSV! Welcome to This Week’s Edition of Around the Grounds!

Week 1 of the GSV fixtures is always a BIG week!

Congratulations to everyone who competed this week and proudly represented MLC! A special shoutout goes to the many girls trying a new sport for the first time.

With so many teams and sports taking place this term, it’s thrilling to see such high participation! I’ve just tallied that MLC has over 500 girls registered for weekly sports! This is in addition to all those training diligently for the upcoming GSV Athletics Team!

Round 2 kicks off on Monday, marking the start of our seniors’ seasons! Check out the full fixture summary below.

REMINDERS UNIFORM: As you are representing MLC it is expected that you are in full and correct uniform. This includes both the playing uniform (MLC sports top) and your warm outerwear to travel to and from matches in (MLC Sports Uniform). Coaches will be on the lookout of any non-uniform items in the following weeks.

EQUIPMENT: MLC will supply students with all required equipment to borrow if they do not have their own, e.g. Shin Guards and Racquets. However, it is very important that these are returned the same day. These will be needed for all teams over the week, so they are not to be kept in your own bags or taken home.

COMMITMENT Now that teams have been finalised your coaches and teammates are relying on you to turn up play each week. If you pull out there is a chance that you leave your team short, and the team may need to forfeit. Please make every effort to get to all matches and training sessions.

COMMUNICATION We do understand that at times you may be unwell or injured but it is expected that you communicate any absences as soon as you can. You should contact your coach directly via teams message to give them as much notice as possible.

MATCH DAY PROCEDURES - LEAVING CLASS For all away matches students are permitted to leave class if you have an early bus. You will be notified of what time and you will attendance tracked. You must hen to meet your coaches promptly at the Chapel car park to be ticked off and on the bus promptly.

HERALD SUN SHIELD SUCCESS! A Congratulations to the Inter AFL team that participated in the Elimination round of the Herald Sun Shield on Wednesday, and have won their way through to the Semi Finals next Thursday. Good Luck Girls!!

FIXTURES All match details can be found below and on your myMLC timetable. This is up to date as at noon on Friday and changes can often occur.
