KMIR
ACQUISITION
Entravision is excited to announce the recent agreement to acquire Stations KMIR-TV, the NBC affiliate, and KPSE-LD, the MyNetworkTV affiliate, serving Palm Springs, California. Walter F. Ulloa, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Entravision, said, “Palm Springs is a growing and vibrant market that we know very well and have served for more than 20 years. Our existing television and radio assets located in the market have helped us build strong relationships with the Palm Springs community and our local news programming, Noticias Ya, is highly rated. We are excited to add KMIR’s impactful and significant local news presence to our portfolio in Palm Springs. This is a strategic transaction that is extremely attractive on a financial basis, allowing us to broaden the services we provide the Palm Springs market and positions us to continue to build on the success of KMIR and KPSE.” Entravision currently owns and operates the UniMas and Univision affiliated television stations (KVER-CD, KEVCCD, and KVES-LD) and 94.7 FM Jose and 103.5 FM Tricolor radio stations (KLOB-FM and KPST-FM) serving the Palm Springs, CA market, which is ranked #146 in total population and #49 in Hispanic population. Entravision’s Univision affiliate, KVER-TV is the leading station in the market, number one in full week ratings, Mon-Sun 3am3am among Adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54 [1]. DAZZLES BOSTON On September 26th, the Boston Red Sox Organization celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month at Fenway Park. As part of the program, the City of
Boston invited Entravision Boston to present a plaque welcoming Eduardo Nunez and Rafael Devers to the city. Both players are Dominican professional baseball players for the Boston Red Sox. Entravision Boston also held a Red Sox Meet and Greet at the station. This celebration and the Meet and Greet are hopefully the first of many partnered events with the Boston Red Sox and our local program Unideportes.

DAZZLES PALM SPRINGS On Thursday September 14th Entravision Palm Springs was part of the annual job fair hosted by the City of Indio where over 100 local business participated. Rigo Escobedo, from Promotions and Leo Vasquez, BOM, got the opportunity to network with qualified job seekers as well as with other local businesses in the industries of hospitality, retail, banking, gaming, education and government agencies.
MCALLEN Congratulations to Russell Pemberton, aka Alex Duran, who was recognized as “Favorite Radio Personality (DJ)” during “The Monitor’s 2017 Readers’ Choice Awards” event on September 28th.

DAZZLES ALBUQUERQUE In September, Entravision New Mexico along with the Mexican Consulate in Albuquerque hosted their Fiestas Patrias 2017 Celebration in Santa Fe. The
event was filled with Mexican culture, acts and pride. The event showcased multiple entertainment acts such as Ballet Folclórico Baila! Baila, Trio Los Amigos de Nuevo Mexico, New Mexican Marimba Group “El Grito” ceremony with the Mexican Consulate. The event wrapped up with Mariachi Patria and Ballet Folkloric de Santa Fe.

DAZZLES HARTFORD Entravision Hartford - Springfield celebrated its 3rd
annual Quinceañera Expo & Giveaway on September 24th at Connecticut State University. Families planning their daughters’ quinceañera party came to the Expo and met with an array of vendors including many Hispanic owned and operated local shops. The event featured live entertainment, fashion shows, food trucks, and limos. All participants received a quinceañera planning guide and walked away with valuable information not only about their celebration but the importance of starting to plan for college. The young ladies had the opportunity to win the ultimate Quinceañera Party Package which included the dress, hair and makeup, limo, food, cake, decorations, photography and more. Madeline Ramos was this year’s lucky winner and will be the image of the next Quinceañera campaign and will pass on her crown to the next year’s lucky winner.
SACRAMENTO On October 7th, Sacramento’s country station, The Wolf, held its annual listener appreciation concert, Wolf Fest.

SUPPORTS ORLANDO Entravision Orlando and its partners joined forces on September 30th and October 1st to help the victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. A live on-location broadcast was held inviting viewers and listeners to donate much-needed supplies. The fundraiser effort resulted in three containers full of donated supplies such as first aid needs, water, batteries, diapers for kids and adults, and nonperishable foods. Salsa artists such as Tito Nieves, Charlie Cruz and Mereguero Elvis Crespo joined in to support the effort.

SUPPORTS ALBUQUERQUE Entravision New Mexico hosted a week long food and aid collection drive a day after the devastating Mexico earthquake in September. The community was asked to donate first aid kits, canned food and hygiene products for people affected by the earthquake. With the help of employees in our news and radio departments along with clients like El Mezquite Market and Sandia Satellite Store, an entire semi-truck and a half was filled with donations that were shipped to Mexico and the surrounding affected areas.

SUPPORTS DENVER & EL PASO In September, Entravision Denver in conjunction with Entravision El Paso held a food and supplies donation drive for the victims of the earthquake in Mexico. Our employees showed great teamwork organizing the donated supplies, packing boxes and loading it into the trucks for delivery.

SUPPORTS SACRAMENTO In less than 24 hours, Entravision Sacramento organized a Red Cross Relief fundraiser for the Northern California wild fire victims. The fundraiser was held on October 14th at Hoblit Dodge and over $7,500 was raised. Check out the video!
MCALLEN On October 10th the Mission Consolidated Independent School District held its annual “Principal for a Day” event in which business and community leaders shadow a campus principal for half a day. Angela Navarrete, SVP for McAllen, was invited to participate in the event and represented Entravision McAllen’s commitment to serve and support the local community.
