WELCOME TO TERM 3 GSV! Welcome to This Week’s Edition of Around the Grounds!

Round 3 complete! Well done to all the students and coaches on settling into Term 3 sports and routines. With so many teams it is a big first few weeks getting everyone sorted. (Especially the Badminton crews!)

GSV seasons are term based so they come and go very quickly. A 6-round season also means we are now already halfway through.

REMINDERS Term 3 Schedules: Confirming these days and dates for the remainer of Term 3.

Please be sure to pop them in your diary!!

We have had a number of clashes this past week resulting in over 50 JSS students that had signed up and committed to GSV be unable to play their matches Thursday!

We do thank those that communicated absences early so the coaches could plan, however we would love it if you were all available every week. Please make it a priority to get to all trainings and matches!

TERM 3 TRAINING SCHEDULE Mondays before school: MS Badminton Xavier or BSC, SS & MS Indoor Cricket at MLC Mondays lunchtime; Senior Water Polo Tuesdays before school; JSS Badminton BSC and ABC, JSS Indoor Cricket MLC Tuesdays after school; SS & MS Soccer Glenferrie Oval Wednesdays before school; JSS Badminton ABC Wednesday afterschool; JSS Soccer Glenferrie Oval Fridays before school; SS Badminton Xavier College MATCH SCHEDULE Mondays 10th, 17th, 24th 31st August = SS Soccer, SS Badminton, SS Indoor Cricket Tuesdays 18th 25th August 1st Sept = Senior Water Polo ** No matches next week 11/8 Wednesdays 12th, 19th August 2nd Sept = ** No matches 26/8 Thursdays 13th, 20th August 3rd Sept = ** No matches 27/8 FINALS- SS Monday 7th, Water Polo Tuesday 8th, MS Wednesday 9th and JSS Thursday 10th September.

TERM 4 Trials -Stay tuned for more information on Sign Ups and trials for Term 4.

The sports are Basketball, Cricket, Junior Water Polo and Touch. Trials will take place in the last 2 weeks of this term.

GSV TRACK & FIELD PRELIMS! Tuesday 11th will see our Athletics Team of 80 students, head to Lakeside for the Preliminary round for GSV Track & Field.

Good luck to all students competing, Head Athletics Coach Kate Richardson and all the Aths Coaches involved in getting our amazing MLC Athletics Team ready for the day! GO MLC!!
