WELCOME TO TERM 3 GSV! Welcome to This Week’s Edition of Around the Grounds!

Why does MLC support hundreds of girls to compete in GSV sport each week?

It is well documented, that playing sports helps improve physical health, fosters teamwork, and builds discipline. It also boosts confidence and resilience, providing girls with a sense of achievement and belonging.

Having the Sports Precinct underway also demonstrates the importance MLC places on participating in sports as it teaches valuable life skills, such as leadership and time management, which are essential for personal and academic success. We can’t wait for it all the be completed!

REMINDERS TRAINING & MATCH SCHEDULE It is important that you attend both Training and Matches each week. We suggest you add these to your diaries and planning (and communicate these to your parents) so you can make appointments and get your homework or study done around your GSV commitments.

These past two weeks have seen quite a large number of students missing either training or matches and the coaches would like to see this minimised.

PLEASE NOTE: NO TRAINING TUESDAY MORNING 4th AUG - Due to the Y7-12 House Swimming taking place on Tuesday 4th, there is NO before school GSV training for JSS Badminton and JSS Indoor Cricket.

As a reminder these are the current regular training times: JSS BadmintonTuesday 6.45am drop off, Squad 1 at Abbotsford BC and Squad 3 Tuesday, at Boroondara SC Wednesday 6.45am drop off, for Squad 2 at Abbotsford BC JSS Indoor Cricket - Tuesday 7am at MLC JSS Soccer - Wednesday 3.30pm, meet at fountain. 5pm dismissed from Glenferrie Oval, or walked back to MLC with the coaches MS Badminton - Monday 6.45am drop off, Squad 1 at Abbotsford BC and Squad 2 at Xavier College MS and SS Indoor Cricket - Monday 7am at MLC MS and SS Soccer - Tuesday 3.30pm, meet at fountain. 5pm dismissed from Glenferrie Oval (Senior A team have a separate training on Monday morning 7am, at MLC) SS Badminton - Friday 6.45am Abbotsford BC (or Xavier College week by week availability) Senior Water Polo - Monday Lunchtime in the Aquatic Centre

WATER POLO @MLC! This past Tuesday MLC hosted their first ever GSV Home Water Polo matches! The girls were amazing!

A very exciting milestone for the Sports Precinct redevelopment.

Be sure to come watch the Senior teams in action from 4pm and 4.35pm each Tuesday!
