CN-GALLBLADDER - A GALLBLADDER FUNCTION, DIGESTIVE TRACT FUNCTION, & NUTRIENT ABSORPTION SUPPORT FORMULA

Many individuals assume that heartburn, indigestion, gas and reflux are caused by overproduction of stomach acid. This common misconception has been strongly re-enforced by our conventional medical profession, whose practitioners routinely prescribe stomach acid blocking medications at the slightest sign of stomach dysfunction, often neglecting to provide patients with dietary recommendations.

ChiroNutraceutical is breaking through nutritional boundaries with CN-Gallbladder, an advanced synergistic enzyme formula with a unique blend of Betaine HCL, ox bile, pancreatin, pepsin, glutamic acid plus gentian root to support digestive tract function and nutrient absorption the natural way.

ABOUT THE FORMULA

Stomach Acid:

Many individuals assume that heartburn, indigestion, gas, and reflux are caused by overproduction of stomach acid. This common misconception has been strongly reinforced by our conventional medical profession, whose practitioners routinely prescribe stomach acid blocking medications at the slightest sign of stomach dysfunction, often neglecting to provide patients with dietary recommendations.

The Symptoms of Over and Under Production Are the Same:

Strangely enough, the symptoms of stomach acid (hydrochloric acid, HCL) over-production and under production are virtually identical. It is therefore unwise to jump to conclusions regarding what’s occurring in the stomach without actual testing.

Betaine HCL:

Betaine HCL provides a source of hydrochloric acid, which is not considered a digestive enzyme, but is necessary for the proper functioning of enzymes. Due to the over utilization of antacids, medications, lack of fiber, too much sugar, alcohol, fast foods and processed foods, many people are suffering from symptoms of low stomach acid. These symptoms may include bloating, gas, pain, yeast infections, skin conditions including acne rosaeca, constipation and diarrhea. (Continued)

Pepsin and glutamic acid:

These ingredients are needed in order to break down proteins into polypeptides. Those who take over-the-counter or prescription antacids actually may be doing more harm than good in that they may be hindering part of the digestive process. Additionally, it is thought that some food allergies, especially dairy and wheat are related to partially digested proteins passing through the intestinal wall. Since antacids decrease the effectiveness of pepsin, thereby increasing the number of partially digested proteins that can pass through to the intestine, it may be that antacids actually may increase the risk of food allergy development.

Gentian Root Extract:

Gentian Root Extract has the ability to stimulate the appetite, stimulate the secretion of saliva and gastric juices, and accelerate the emptying of the stomach. Gentian was very effective in relieving the symptoms of indigestion and heartburn in human subjects. Gentian root has also been shown to reflexively stimulate the gallbladder and pancreas, and mucous membranes of the stomach, thus contributing to an increased secretion of digestive juices and enzymes.

Oxbile:

Oxbile is excreted by the liver and stored in the gallbladder until needed to assist in digestion of lipids, or fats. Bile salts, which are the active components of the bile, assist in breaking down cholesterol and other fat components in the intestines. Supplemental bile extract helps emulsify fats and promotes absorption of fat-soluble vitamins such as vitamins K, A, D and E. A deficiency of bile production, or decreased excretion of bile by the gallbladder can lead to gallstones. These gallstones are formed from various combinations of cholesterol, concentrated bile, minerals and pigments.

Pancreatin:

Pancreatin is a combination of the digestive enzymes including lipase, amylase and protease. These enzymes are normally produced by the pancreas and are important in the digestion of fats, starches and proteins. Pancreatin is used to replace digestive enzymes which the pancreas does not produce on its own. Certain medical conditions and medications contribute to the lack of enzyme production including pancreatic surgery, inflammation of the pancreas, pancreatic cancer and cystic fibrosis.

ABOUT THE FORMULA

Dandelion leaf (Taraxacum) is a common plant found all over the world. Considered by many gardeners to be a nuisance, herbalists find dandelion to be a useful diuretic, bitter, and nutritive tonic. The leaves, root and flower all have beneficial properties. Dandelion leaves are high in vitamin A and have moderate amounts of vitamin D, vitamin C, some B vitamins, iron, silicon, magnesium, zinc, and manganese. Dandelion may help to lower blood pressure and the leaf is said to nourish the urinary tract.

Plantain leaf (Plantago) is a common plant native to Europe and Asia but now found globally. Plantain leaves and seeds have both been used medicinally throughout the ages. This plant may have astringent and expectorant properties. Therefore, traditionally, plantain has been used to help chronic bronchitis, coughs, upper respiratory tract infections, and bladder infections. Topically, crushed plantain leaves, or infused oil of plantain leaves are helpful for wounds and insect bites.

Gravel root (Eupatorium purpureum) has been used for centuries to assist those with kidney stones and urinary tract infections. This plant is indigenous to North America and was used by Native American healers for the above conditions and also for typhus. Gravel root may exhibit diuretic, anti-lithic, and anti-rheumatic properties.

Corn silk (Zea mays) comes from the dried silky tassels found inside corn husks. It is a demulcent, vulnerary, and potassium-sparing diuretic herb. Corn silk soothes the urinary tract and is helpful for people with acute or recurrent bladder infections, chronic urethritis, prostatitis, and edema. Corn silk contains many nutrients such as potassium, zinc, iron, silica, and vitamins C, B and K.

Parsley root (Petroselinum crispum) is a potent diuretic and tonifier for the urinary tract. Historically, parsley root has been used to help urinary tract disorders, digestive problems, and bronchitis. Parsley root contains numerous vitamins and minerals including vitamin C and calcium. Some herbalists have also used parsley to help painful menses and to reduce blood pressure.

Uva ursi is a small evergreen shrub found in North America and Europe. It has many useful actions in the urinary tract including as an antimicrobial, diuretic, demulcent, antiseptic, and astringent. People with an atonic bladder may benefit from taking uva ursi. This plant should be used with caution in children under 12 years old.

ORGAN SYSTEM SUPPORT

CN-LIVER - A LIVER AND GALLBLADDER FUNCTION SUPPORT FORMULA

This herbal tincture is specially formulated to support optimal functioning of the liver and gall bladder. These organs are crucial for healthy digestion and detoxification.

ABOUT THE FORMULA

Chlorella has become a popular addition to liver detoxification formulas. Chlorella is a highly nutritious single-celled alga, somewhat similar to spirulina. The “broken cell” version of chlorella refers to the manufacturer of the product breaking the outer cell wall of the microorganism to improve it’s digestability and absorption rate. Some research indicates that chlorella may attenuate oxidative stress and relieve symptoms of fibromyalgia. It also shows promise for enhancing immune function and stamina. Milk thistle, also known as Silybum marianum, is a hepatic trophorestorative, meaning that this herb protects and restores function of the liver. It has been shown to successfully treat non-alcoholic and alcoholic liver damage, cirrhosis, fatty liver, and more. Milk thistle is also helpful in cases of exposure to chemical pollutants like drugs, solvents, halogenated hydrocarbons, and more. Dandelion root is a bitter herb used to stimulate digestion and promote liver and gall bladder health. This common weed contains many nutrients and all parts of the plant have been used for medicine or for food. Dandelion root acts as an alterative to improve conditions of chronic toxicity, decreased immune function, eczema, cholecystitis, hepatitis, and more. Burdock root, also called Arctium lappa, is an alterative which promotes digestion and elimination and supports liver health. In Japan the root is still eaten as food. Like dandelion, burdock acts slowly and gently and must be taken over long periods of time for optimal results. Artichoke (Cynara) is a powerfully bitter plant that stimulates digestion. It has been used to treat liver inflammation, like hepatitis, and to reduce oxidative damage to the liver from environmental toxins. Bupleurum falcatum is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to regulate gastrointestinal and liver function. Bupleurum also acts as an antiinflammatory agent, supports immune function, and protects the liver, kidney, and other organs from toxic damage. Cilantro (Coriander sativum) is used both as a culinary and a medicinal herb. Both the seeds (‘coriander’) and the leaf (‘cilantro’) have been used by herbalists and chefs alike! Although well known as an aid to digestion, this herb may also have some benefit in supporting the body’s ability to detoxify. Fumitory (Fumaria) is thought to be depurative (detoxifying) and amphoteric (restoring balance of an organ’s function), with a special affinity for the gall bladder. Herbalists have used fumaria to tonify the digestive system, stimulate the release of digestive enzymes, treat skin eruptions, and enhance liver detoxification. Fringe tree is a North American plant that has traditionally been used to stimulate liver, spleen, and pancreatic function. It is said to enhance the flow of bile from the liver and gall bladder. Fringe tree, also called Chionanthus virginicus, should not be used in cases of acute cholelithiasis (gall stones).
