At our April 3rd Dobson Ranch Retirees Club (DRRC) general meeting and luncheon, we were honored to have Fran Pawlak, the new Executive Director of the Dobson Ranch Homeowners Association. She shared a detailed and upbeat summary of the challenges and opportunities facing our community as well as the plans for the Ranch’s 50th anniversary celebration. The celebration is very special to the DRRC, as a number of our members have been living here since the early days of the Ranch. Fran also introduced the hardworking staff members of the HOA's staff. It was great to meet her and the rest of the behind-the-scenes folks who work to make DR "The Best Place To Live". After the presentation, we enjoyed hot dogs with all the fixings, potato and bean salads, and, as always, yummy desserts. Thank you to everyone who made the meeting possible, especially Donna Fox, our Vice President, who chaired the meeting and the committee chairs who updated us on the coming month's many activities. Our May general meeting and luncheon is scheduled for Monday, May 1st. Coffee begins at 9:30 am with the meeting beginning at 10:00 am followed by the program and luncheon.

On April 22nd, Dobson Ranch Retirees cooked delicious pancakes and sausages at the Spring Expo. Thank you to the members who helped with this annual event. During April and May, DRRC members continued to enjoy our many activities such as hikes, walks, bike rides, picnics, breakfasts, lunches, dinners, happy hour, and special events. As it heats up, some of our outdoor activities will be winding down for Arizona’s summer season and many of our snowbird members leave us for cooler places. June 5th and July 3rd meetings will be casual evening get togethers with hors d’oeuvres and lots of good conversation.

Dobson Ranch Retirees membership is open to any “young at heart” Ranch resident over the age of 55. Dues are only $20 per year. DRRC events and activities are open only to DRRC members, but non-members are welcome to attend up to three times prior to joining.
