UCU is a powerful accelerator which helps implement any idea, finds people talented and dedicated to the matter, and, most important, helps them find themselves. They give us difficult tasks at UCU, to test not only our knowledge but to see how we’re progressing and if we know how to act in stressful situations. They prepare us for a life which is full of uncertainties and challenges.
In 1994, my father entered an academy known to no one. But in 2018, my youngest sister entered one of the best universities in Ukraine. Since I knew UCU’s beginnings and observe the university’s success today, I have developed the very important feeling that changes are not about an instant, but about faith and long-term, dedicated work. UCU is a university that prepares young people for changes and instills in them a strong desire to work and trust in results.

In 2008, when I came from Crimea to Lviv, UCU still did not have many modern buildings, the Sheptytsky Center, Collegium, Multi-Purpose Building. Each year I noticed how the university is growing, developing, being built up. Nevertheless, the whole time, one important thing did not change – the students were full of great dreams, the community was corruption-free and open to grandiose plans.

The structure was built in 2007 with a spacious atrium and view onto a lake. Theology and Philosophy are taught here, and professional journalists and media managers are also prepared.

The Multi-Purpose Academic Building
The University Church of the Holy Wisdom of God

The Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Center combines a modern library with study spaces with an administrative floor, classrooms, spacious conference halls, and an exhibition area. The University Church of the Holy Wisdom of God arose in the center of the campus in 2016. The church premises also include the UCU Pastoral Department and the lower floor holds the Church of Pope St. Clement and the Crypt of the Holy Sepulcher. The Collegium – is a residence for students and also a space for interacting and starting friendships. The Multi-Purpose Academic Building was built in 2013. Humanities, Applied Sciences, Business, Management and Law are taught here. The premises also house classrooms, lecture rooms, and a spacious dining hall.
