DMU KTP (Knowledge Transfer Partnership) Project updates

Our six KTP projects are progressing well. One project with Genvolt and Prof Zeeshan Ahmad finished at the end of March and is now completing its final project report.

We have fantastic news about our KTP with East Midlands Chamber which finished last year. Innovate UK assessors have scored the final report for the KTP with the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce as ‘Outstanding’. A fantastic result for the team. Our congratulations go out to David Rae, Ed Cartwright and Mario Gongora along with the project associate Harsh Shah who made it all possible and of course our own Rhianna Briars. Our next step is an application to the national KTP Awards 2024 so watch this space!

Accelerated Knowledge Transfer (AKT)

Our four successful AKT projects, Marlow Foods (t/a Quorn Foods) with Dr Andy Wright, Genvolt with Prof Zeeshan Ahmad, Alpha Biolabs with Dr Urszula Krzeminska Ahmadzai and Micron Design with Prof Geoff Smith, are all progressing well. We are looking forward to the interim reports on these projects which are due in May.

Themed AKTs

We are pleased to be able to share an outline with you describing the nature of the projects IUK funders are looking for. For DMU this is an exciting opportunity to identify possible projects with companies in readiness for this funding round. The competition is scheduled to open on 1st July (but might be earlier if IUK are able) and are usually short call deadlines (maybe 4 weeks). Click on the buttons below to find out more.

If you have a potential project idea and partnership please do contact us.

KE Events

Engage with Knowledge Exchange (KE) The first two events; Big Hairy Audacious Goals for Knowledge Exchange on 22nd March and Mapping your Stakeholders for Effective Knowledge Exchange: An Introduction 24 April were well attended. Colleagues fed back how useful working through the topics as a group and that sessions are helping preparations for project plans and bids.
