We belong to the Society of Jesus, along with 31 universities in Latin America, and 186 higher education institutions in the world. We are connected by education for fraternity, faith, excellence, and the construction of social justice.

We are the Pontifical Xaverian University, a private institution of higher education in Colombia, which is proud to be one of the oldest in the country. Our tradition is to impact and educate highly competent professionals since 1623.
WHAT WE OFFER YOU We have 18 faculties that group 62 departments, 10 institutes and more than 240 undergraduate and graduate academic programs. Those latter handle various areas of knowledge, our nature is multidisciplinary. That is, we seek knowledge in diversity. Our main campus is in a strategic location in the city, has a modern infrastructure, and a master plan for the development of its facilities for 20 years (2008 – 2028). Currently, we have 46 buildings built on 18 hectares of land distributed in built area, green and sports areas. ¡A whole world to discover!

OUR COMMITMENT QUALITY
TO
We are committed to the excellence and academic quality of each program, for this reason: We were the first University in Colombia to receive High Quality Institutional Accreditation through resolution 1320 of June 12, 2003. On March 6, 2012, the Ministry of National Education - MEN renewed this Institutional Accreditation through resolution 2333. On July 17, 2020, through Resolution 013170, the MEN renewed our Multicampus High Quality Institutional Accreditation for the Javeriana campuses in Bogotá and Cali for 10 years, the longest time granted for this recognition. All programs are permanently reviewed through quality assurance and accreditation processes, which guarantees an offer of undergraduate and graduate programs that meets high academic standards.
Additionally, undergraduate students can take graduate signatures, and request their recognition when they are admitted to the graduate program of their interest. This allows them to start their studies at advanced levels early.

The curriculum of our undergraduate programs is flexible, in this way students can organize their curricular components according to their own professional performance projection. To do this, we have a wide catalog of more than 7,000 subjects that adapt to their interests and in which they can enroll simultaneously in two or more programs.

We have established alliances with national and international institutions for the development of research and training programs, which have allowed us to launch high-impact and category projects.
PROJECTION FOR THE FUTURE We have a wide range of Continuing Education that includes programs that are opened to the public or closed for companies. Every year we develop more than 800 programs in several areas of knowledge in Colombia and abroad, with more than 27,000 participants. We lead academic training to places that want to grow with knowledge, we highlight the development of corporate programs and learning routes
with high quality standards, aimed at closed groups of organizations and institutions of the public and private sector in different modalities (in-person, bimodal, and virtual). In recent years, about 40 academic units between departments, centers and institutes have developed consulting projects for different entities from the public and private sectors, in the following fields:

TECHNOLOGY AND INFRASTRUCTURE To provide technological support to research processes, academic training, service, and administration, we have state-of-the-art resources. We highlight: More than 210 laboratories and workshops. -The Javeriana Center of Oncology. The San Ignacio University Hospital. The Magnetic Resonance Center. The Javeriana Sports Training Center. A modern computer center and university information system to support all the management of the University.
In July 2016, the Jorge Hoyos Vásquez, S.J. Building came into operation, in which the Economic and Administrative Sciences Faculty is located. You will also find the comprehensive care services for Javeriana students, and potential students, as well as banks, cafeterias, and rooms for graduate and continuing education, in an area of 10,000 m2.
In addition, as part of the Master Plan for the development of the physical plant of the university campus, the new laboratory and research building for the Sciences Faculty is currently under construction, which will have 12 floors and a platform with 3 basements in 19,600 m2, with a pedestrian axis that invites contact with nature.
The Calle 125 Building is also under construction, which will have approximately 18,000 m2 built including parking basements, business premises, classrooms, covered public space and offices.

In January 2020 we inaugurated the Laboratory and Research Building, of the Engineering Faculty, which has specific areas for the different engineering programs, and a new learning space to develop, implement, and operate projects in 14,200 m2.

At the Cultural Management Center, we offer a varied monthly program for the entire community, and we have artistic and cultural expression groups, both at the institutional level and in the faculties. At the Saint Francis Xavier Pastoral Center, we provide spaces where members of the community interested in doing so, can live and strengthen their religious convictions, as well as reflect on meanings of life, and possibilities to grow as people in the encounter with others. Additionally, we have the Latin American University Leadership Program. At the Center for the Promotion of identity and Building the Community, we promote the educational principles of the Society of Jesus, the Xaverian identity and the consolidation of the educational community. There we have a Support Office for students who are from outside of Bogotá. We have more than 100 student groups related to multiple topics. In addition, we offer training workshops on social skills for peace, as well as the leadership workshop course and personal development.

At the Javeriana Sports Training Center we offer spaces to develop physical and sports activities. It is available from Sunday to Sunday at extended hours and has excellent stages and state-of-the-art equipment. Its sports system allows any student to be part of the 120 University faculty teams or the Javeriana teams that have won regional championships for more than 6 years and successfully participate in the National University Games.

In the Vice-Rector office of the University Welfare, we have a team of more than 200 employees, and an important infrastructure organized in 5 centers to promote the care of the person, in line with our educational proposal.
AGREEMENTS AND ACADEMIC MOBILITY We support our undergraduate and graduate students to become global citizens and strengthen national, international, and bilingual intercultural competencies. We have a network of bilateral and multilateral agreements with national and international higher education institutions. Currently, we are connected to the world with more than 400 international and academic cooperation agreements, we are part of exchange networks that allow students to access more than 300 institutions in 42 countries. In addition, we have 14 dual degree agreements that allow students from 26 programs to simultaneously obtain the degree from Javeriana and from top international institutions.
SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCING In the first semester of 2020, the University granted scholarships to 1,254 students for $9,019 Colombian million pesos, discounts to 3,369 students for $3,579 Colombian million pesos, and financed 8,122 students with its own financial resources, and Icetex resources for a total value of $78,429 Colombian million pesos. Likewise, in the second semester of 2020, the University awarded scholarships to 1,342 students for $9.570 Colombian million pesos and discounts to 14,472 undergraduate and graduate students for a total of $9.526 Colombian million pesos. It also financed 8,048 students with its own resources and from Icetex for a total value of $73,447 Colombian million pesos. Therefore, our efforts to make excellence an accessible path for all, are reflected in considerable resources allocated to financing and financial aid, which in 2020 amounted to $183,570 Colombian million pesos.

In addition, we have new tools, so applicants can explore their talents, interests, and the way they want to contribute to the world with their career choice. Our new LifeDesign service (https://www.mylifedesign.co/javeriana/) is a virtual space in which we work along with candidates in the construction of their life projects, considering their passion and skills.
