Once More…Thank You Exhibitors 74 years ago Fred J. Hall could not have predicted Fred Hall Shows like we have had for the last two years. The legacy of the shows at Gilmore Stadium, the Pan Pacific Auditorium and the Great Western Exhibit Center could not have predicted the Fred Hall Shows of 2018, 2019 and beyond.

Last year we painted a picture of the Fred Hall Shows that was beyond glowing. In 2018 we said that “record crowds produced record sales” and we further stated that those records were not likely to be broken anytime soon. We were wrong…most of the records that were set in 2018 were smashed in 2019. All of our categories; international factories, major retailers, boat dealers, boat manufacturers and destination resorts all flourished. We know that it is not likely to have continued growth like we have seen in 2019 but even if the Fred Hall Shows “level off” they will still remain in historically unchartered waters for shows of this kind.

Fred used to say that his events were not just shows they were a “happening.” If only he could have lived to see the 2019 Fred Hall Shows…they are now truly “a happening.” The Fred Hall Shows have made it to many sportsmen’s “bucket lists.” If you haven’t been to a Fred Hall Show then you haven’t been to the finest shows of their kind in the world.

As many of you know the Fred Hall Shows dominate outdoor recreation marketing in Southern California. We communicate with more potential customers than any other advertising medium through the use of TV, Radio, billboards,

direct mail, newspapers, periodicals, e-marketing and social media. That is how we have built the finest shows of our kind in the world. Therefore, it was not surprising to see record crowds in 2019, we often see record crowds. What was surprising was the level of passion displayed by our attendees for fishing, hunting, boating and outdoor recreation. This passion is continuing to build in this region.

Our motto is, “Celebrate the Passion of Fishing, Hunting, Boating and Outdoor Recreation.” We are good at communicating that idea and in helping anglers, hunters and outdoor recreation enthusiasts “celebrate the passion.” Thank all of you that participated in the shows and allowed the Fred Hall Show attendees to celebrate their passion. All of you helped to make the 2019 Fred Hall Shows the best in almost three quarters of a century.
