AUTHOR...
Charizza Joy Acosta is an 18-year-old teenager and a STEM Strand Senior High School student at De La Salle University-Dasmarinas. She enjoys playing old-school online games, which inspired her to create a Plants vs. Zombies-themed magazine called HOLO. Although her title HOLO means alone, she hopes that her readers will overcome loneliness by reading her work. As An honor student since elementary school, Charizza has competed in many academic competitions, particularly in math and science, as well as drawing competitions, where she won a medal in A Hong Kong-based international drawing Competition which she considers to be her top-notch achievement in her artistic journey to date. She is currently testing her abilities, hoping to find the perfect weapon when she is ready to face the real world.

Respectful
As a respectful media user, I am open to understanding new suggestions and opinions. Moreover, I choose what I post, which is not too dull or useless and does not waste others' time, as well as; not choose whom to reply to or message with appropriateness. Recently, I posted about a family celebration; many unfamiliar people commented about appreciation; even though they were strangers to me, I thanked them all. Moreover, every time I communicate with others, despite their age, I would use proper courtesy and ask for their consent first before taking their precious time. Nice right?

Factual
Accurate information disseminated to everyone is a must. Some pieces of information are connected to how we act next. One day, I shared something about the different nutrients we can get from bananas on different ripeness levels; the next day, my grandmother fed me three bananas; one ripe, not so ripe, and very ripe. I might as well turn into a monkey. Every time I share something on the Internet, I always gather reliable sources. Also, I search for facts to lessen my curiosity about certain subjects or trends, and choosing truth over lies also adds to my knowledge. Brainy!

Cautious
With everything that I do, I always have small doubts, which makes me so cautious about everything I share. When I read something significant online that is on the side of what I believe, I like it but do not dare to click share. I'm also a very private person, which is why everything I post has to be checked thoroughly, whether it's nice, or something useful. Online, I meet and connect to new people and applications every day, but that doesn't mean that I should accept these all; instead, I check their information first whether they are reliable or not. On my social media, just to be sure, I check the mutuals too!

Friendly I am a friendly media user; I am accomodating to new friends as well as old friends. If you send a message or share something with me when I am online, I promise to listen sincerely and reply like a lightning bolt, but please also take in mind not to wait for my reply; it might take a few minutes and sometimes a few hours if I am offline. I am very approachable. If you have jokes, I will gladly laugh with you. If you have a tea to spill, I will gladly keep it within us too. If you are too shy to say hi, I will be the first to say my Bonjour Hi!

Jolly
When I think of posting something online, I guarantee that it always has motivational or hilarious content, just like how I used my photo with my pet chicken as my temporary profile picture for the academic year start display profile(DP) frame. Being jolly through my posts on the Internet also allows me to show a bit of my actual self online. Moreover, it's pandemic, so I want to add positivity to other people through my posts. I am also a part of LPF, where our goal is to motivate, and so, by being cheerful and sharing lots of motivational contents, I believe I was able to uplift some of my online friends.

Editor's Note Two Birds, One Stone
John Kennedy (1963) asserts that only educated and informed people will be a free people. As a Lasallian Senior High School student under the pandemic, media is, and will continuously be, a more significant voice of today. Throughout the caged experience of schooling, media, information, news, and technology literacy; became a weapon for students to overcome tasks and even personal goals. It unlocks opportunities to learning throughout human life, relevant to self-development and health, which opens doors for constitutional participation and make an active citizen. Also, through the proper application of these literacies, we Lasallian students; continued to grow and shelter what is taught to us and make a sense out of it. Also, the knowledge to recognize factual and pieces of misleading information improved, which led more students to communicate and openly expound ideas about many different issues affecting us directly and indirectly, which is a true Lasallian value. Furthermore, as Lasallian students anchored to our core values, with the effort to execute appropriate literacy, we may impart these values through nurturing, developing, and dispersing new and purposeful knowledge for human development and social transfiguration. For two years now, we are still in a suffocating environment caused by Covid, and as Bill Gates (1999) wrote in his book, the internet is becoming the town square for the global village of tomorrow. Nevertheless, the university has offered many programs to deal with the absence of face-to-face learning opportunities. That is why, as a student, we also have the responsibility to do our best to gather and share information to be relevant and help others have access with these data. One perfect situation that I chose is sharing insights about an issue, like how I post about my political stand on Facebook with a concrete basis, wherein I apply the media and information literacy knowledge I gained. First, it is media literacy because I can access media, differentiate its kinds that fit into my needs, understand the content of what I am sharing and produce insights about an issue creating understanding and meaningful negotiations with different perspectives. In addition, I use media literacy because the situation needs an in-depth comprehension of the context before comprehending and sharing with others. Alongside media, I also execute information literacy, a crucial step in the thorough selection and retrieval of information to support and guide my sentiments on an issue. Moreover, I can guarantee that my insights are authentic, purposeful, and credible, which will surely help me, and my schoolmates understand what is true and where to side. Indeed, media, news, information, and technology literacy are significantly significant with the different situations that can occur in our academic life; it may be physically, socially, or technologically; these practices will set you to a better result. In conclusion, as a Lasallian Senior High School student; Media literacy will help us discover different media platforms and programs suitable for our needs. While News literacy will help us consider and secure the accuracy and credibility of our resources. Third, Information literacy will help us assemble every piece of information to develop and disseminate insights. Fourth, Technology literacy will help us expand our expertise in operating, connecting, troubleshooting, and comparing and utilizing different program features and gadgets that are timely. And finally, as Kofi Annan (1998) stated, literacy as a whole is the road to human progress and the means through which every man, woman, and child can realize their full potential.

FINAL WAVE Nature or Nurture
Since the advent of mass media and information, almost everyone has been
able to participate in discussions on a wide range of topics, making everyone nearly knowledgeable about everything. As a teenager, I believe that the home is the starting point for everything; it is the place where children develop their beliefs and understanding through their parents, environment or community, and experiences. School, on the other hand, will only serve to fine-tune the values instilled in students at a young age. Moreover, a child's education should begin at home. You can't blame the school for not putting into your child what you don't put into him, as stated by Holder (n.d). Even though it may seem unfair, attempting to blame the school for your child's poor performance is illogical because schools are merely institutions for educating and guiding young people toward their goals for the future, which will always be determined by the perception of each individual child whether to reach that goal or not. Further research shows that the field of multicultural education misses an important point: education that fosters critical worldviews in children begins at home and is inextricably linked to the social and psychological atmosphere of the child's families and communities, as Pattnaik reported (2003), that is why; whether or not children allow themselves to be involved in cyberbullying, harassment or other issues is dependent on their raised environment established at home, and parents' influence will have a significant impact on a child's views and stand on any given situation. Media and information indeed give students numerous opportunities for self-expression and learning, but this media also serve as a platform for cybercrimes and other problems to arise, and that is why parents' efforts to instill and shape moral values in their children starting at the very beginning of human stages can have a significant impact on how students interact with media, to be neither as bullies nor as victims of these issues.
