SNJF
The SNJF label is the conformity mark indicating that the product meets the requirements of the SFJF standard (French Union of Joints and Facades).
CE MARKING

ATG

A THREE-LEVEL SEALING SYSTEM:
A layered seal, spread over three levels, is crucial for the optimal connection of windows and doors:
Exterior: durable protection against weather influences such as wind, UV rays and driving rain;
Middle part: thermal and acoustic insulation;
Interior: airtight to prevent energy loss and draughts.
According to EPB regulations, all building nodes are essential - including window and door connections. TECHNICAL APPLICATIONS FOR AIRTIGHT CONSTRUCTION
Correct installation of windows and doors is essential to ensure durable airtightness, optimal insulation and a long service life of the joinery. The following technical drawings provide practical examples of two commonly used installation types:
• Tunnel installation: placement in the reveal
• Recessed installation: placement on the interior side, behind the outer leaf
They illustrate how the correct combination of sealants, tapes and foils ensures an airtight and durable connection between the window and the building structure.
This minimises thermal bridges, prevents moisture infiltration and maintains high performance in terms of energy efficiency and comfort.
TUNNEL INSTALLATION
In a tunnel installation, the window is placed in the reveal of the wall opening, aligned with either the exterior façade line or the interior cavity wall. This method is often used in renovations or prefabricated constructions, where quick installation and a clean aesthetic result are important. Proper sealing on both the interior and exterior sides is crucial to prevent draughts, moisture ingress and heat loss.
RECESSED INSTALLATION
In a recessed installation, the window frame is fitted behind the outer leaf of the façade, positioning it partly within the insulation zone. This improves thermal performance and provides enhanced protection against wind and rain. The connection between the window and the interior cavity closure is sealed airtight, while the exterior side remains vapour-open to allow moisture to escape. This method is frequently used in energy-efficient or passive construction.
