The yellow patch demarks the location of the site to be in the private zone since this zone is isolated from the additional noise and sight of the people.

Due to the high intensity heat ray fall and heat gain, certain measures like, inclined directive horizontal louvres on the fenestrations can help in ray cut off and decreased interior temperatures and thus, make it a sustainable design.

Since the site has an inclination of 10% thru-out the site from an elevation of 100m to 97.5m above msl.

The location of the built structure becomes very appropriate to be situated their due to the gradual slope.

Due to the prevailing winds certain patients wait area, general wards or the admin can be placed on the sw regions of the site with narrower openings on its fenestrations to allow strong, cold and high pressuried gust of winds to enter the interiors of the building.

AREA ALLOTED FOR SERVICE This area holds the dg bays, fire assembly space, sump, residential area and septic tank.

Hospital Semester VI

Hospitals are the most complex of building types. Each hospital is comprised of a wide range of services and functional units. These include diagnostic and treatment functions, such as clinical laboratories, imaging(radiology), emergency rooms, and surgery; hospitality functions, such as food service and housekeeping; and the fundamental inpatient care or bed-related function.

The proposed project is a sub-district hospital specializing in all types of healthcare proposed by the 6th semester students of MSAP, Manipal.

This diversity is reflected in the breadth and specificity of regulations, codes, and oversight that govern hospital construction and operations. Each of the wide-ranging and constantly evolving functions of a hospital, including highly complicated mechanical, electrical, and telecommunications systems, requires specialized knowledge and expertise’ In addition to the wide range of services that must be accommodated, hospitals must serve and support many different users and stakeholders.

The Architectural goal is to design a responsive, effective and conducive healing environment.

The project’s main objective is to mitigate the gap between the hospital beds and healthcare service providers. While doing so, the projects aims to abolish the negative stigma of a hospital and create a conductive healing environment by regulating the local rhythm of the users. a) To understand, analyse and design various aspects linked to Hospital Design. b) To apply design thinking in design of Hospital. c) To understand and design function, circulation and services in Hospitals.

House Interior Semester VII

This house is a stand-alone duplex typology house with an approach of indian classical tradition in the interiors with a grandeur entry and a good clear heighted living space which is separated from the informal living of the family with an acid etched glass partition. Use of glass and wood is very prominent in the interiors as it is abundantly available and brings out the richness of the indian heritage and culture in the interiors.

The vibrancy of the various shades used go hand in hand with the context and the culture of people. The boldness and welcoming and loudness is the common traits as observed by the architect.

Issues found by the architect: The images display the grandeurness of client’s thought which is being reflected in the design but it leads to certain pessimisms too.

Central Vista Re-development Project Urban Context Studio Semester VII Vision : To pay homage to our heritage while stepping into the them centrally so that it is easily approchable. future for a new and better india through the concept of inclusivity 6.adding a micro-climate of its own is a real necessity keeping in mind the chaos and pollution in the city. this space should act as and legibility. a quick getaway for all.

7. since, the buildings have become old and a strong retrofitting Need : 1. rejuvenate the space, thus making it into a new space. is also a regular necessary, modernising the buildings keeping the 2. unarranged order of the buildings.

3. making a space with proper visual connectivity keeping the integrity and authencity straight so that its not felt out of context.

8. dedicated space for hosting events, carnivals, spaces for originality and vibrant character intact.

4. building a community oriented space, thus helping in better plantations, children’s park (with abstracticism). creation of socialising zone which in a way connects people to 9. incorporation of smart building efficiency for better performance.

Major Design: My client is Kailash Satyarthi, an Indian Children’s Rights Activist. He’s the founder of many profound Acts for the children of India. He lives in Delhi. His family consists of 7 members, his wife, son, son’s wife, their two children and his daughter. He’s been described as an excellent cook and his philosophies matched with that of Mahatma Gandhi’s.

He always invited everyone to embrace their angers. He had strength to a mass mobilization.

This project is located in the End-Point Road, Manipal, KA and aims to create a fancy and eccentric environment with modern conveniences to achieve a comforting and healthy balance between the interiors and the exteriors. Material choices were very vivid and something which is locally available in abundance, like concrete, Mangalorean tiles, stone, steel, glass, Sakrani plaster and Nucon Blocks.

He wanted a residence designed for him which invited more children to his place. Something which is very colorful and vibrant does it all. Some form which was a little outlandish and offbeat was something that he wanted to get designed.

Skill development CENTER Semester III

This semester, we worked on designing a skill development centre for vocational trainings. This semester we had to design something tall or long structure. We were given to design a structure in length. The skill centre that I designed housed the vocational trainings of 4 different skills, Computational, Patisserie, tailoring and language training skills.

The building design approach was taken to be more of composed and modern with good landscaping space and gardens. The built structure was authentically made of wood, steel and glass only, thus making it a super lightweight structure and thus help the structure’s longevity and sound health.

clubhouse Freelance Work

Club House: Anand Baari, Ecopark, Kolkata This is a clubhouse design in which I was included from the very conceptual part to enhance my conceptual design idea and to know whether I was good at understanding the perceiving quality and requirement of the client.

This clubhouse was a part of an apartment and was needed to have a non-parametric design style and more of a practical style which could be built and would be acceptable by the users of the space.

This clubhouse housed events as well as commercial and societal parties and encouraged extended socialisation with an abstract thought in mind. The facade had an abstract design idea with perforated lightings through the grooves and emphasized on transparency with the introduction of more perforations and glass.

This house aimed at an urban yet residential point of design and is planned to achieve a daily footfall of 150 people at least. It followed a Bauhaus design style with exposed concrete and shaded in the shades of black and white.

Farmhouse Freelance Work

Farmhouse: Nearby Candolim Beach, Goa The client wanted a very sophisticated modern farmhouse with a western approach in its design style with more use of concrete, glass and metal. It is 2200 sqft farmhouse with very cozy and stylish interiors and large openings and sittings with a lot of cascading done beside to maintain a healthy and cooler microclimate of its own.

The building had channeled and creative facades to give a feeling of openness and transparency. Due to the lack of space for parking, the car park was composed into the built-up house thus, creating some open lawn area at the backyard for a soothing interior-exterior relationship. The house maintained a homogeneity in its style throughout the house and made it very good to live in. Energy efficiency and home automation was also considered while designing this house for client.

Along with all these, large openings and standby concrete structures, made it an extremely light weight structure and the orientation was set such, so that natural lighting and ventilation could be optimally used.
