IELTS After Engineering – Language Test for Technology Graduates International English Language Testing System or IELTS as it is commonly known as one of the widely accepted tests in few countries of the world. For a student who has completed B.Tech in India, a language test may be quite challenging for many reasons. But nevertheless, IELTS after engineering can be completed successfully with persistent efforts of the student. If you are an ambitious engineering student who wants to take up higher studies abroad and planning to write IELTS exams, then this write-up is for you. IELTS After Engineering – How Difficult or Easy is it Anyways? IELTS is a test conducted by British Council, IDP Australia and Cambridge Assessment English. The test is held in about 1600 centres across the world. It is aimed at testing and grading the English language listening, reading, writing and speaking skills of non-native speakers. The scores of the test are accepted/considered by universities in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Britain and some institutes in the United States and also by immigration bodies. Based on the performance of the students, they receive a grade score from 0 to 9. The test is for about 3 hours and there are four sections namely Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. The Speaking section is more of an interview where the test is recorded for further processing. There are a few reasons why the test may seem challenging to any student.
