AFTER WITNESSING THE SALES LAUNCH OF THE DN 01, AND SEEING A GOLDWING WITH AN AIRBAG, IT WAS NOT VERY LIKELY THAT HONDA COULD SURPRISE US AGAIN. HOWEVER, AS 007 TAUGHT US, ‘NEVER SAY NEVER…’
Seja na gastronomia ou nas artes, a fusão de conceitos traz sempre a possibilidade de experimentar coisas novas ou, pelo menos, inovadoras em algum aspecto. No jazz, a suavidade dos arranjos brasileiros permite a uma pianista canadiana ganhar um pouco mais de melodia nas suas canções. No grelhador, o sabor e textura do peixe ficam mais apelativos se aplicar o molho adequado. Dourada com Açafrão. Robalo com Ananás. Diana Krall a cantar temas brasileiros. Tudo nos parece bem. Por isso também não nos pareceu mal dar umas voltas na nova Integra da Honda. No caso das duas rodas, o que os japoneses propõem com a Integra é uma fusão de conceitos unidos pela tecnologia DCT – Dual Clutch Transmission. Mediante este sistema, deixam de existir a manete da embraiagem e o selector de velocidades, e o automatismo pode ser utilizado em pleno ou com selecção digital – neste caso, relativa ao dedo. Ao aproveitar elementos de estilo e ciclística de moto, os mesmos que encontramos nas NC, a Honda mostra um modelo de scooter muito bem disfarçado e que pode declinar na versão S, muito fácil de identificar, já que adopta as cores e uma decoração próxima das HRC de competição. É evidente que ao falar de scooters, e face ao sucesso que têm grangeado as 125 cc (que em Portugal se conduzem com carta de automóvel), esta ‘sete-e-meio’ está muito distante. É mais rápida em tudo, quer se trate de acelerações, reprises ou velocidade máxima. Todavia, esta scooter ainda nos concede alguns elementos de exclusividade, em especial no MY 2014, que tem as linhas mais vincadas e o novo motor de 55 cv que, mediante alguns truques de tecnologia,

The Integra on two wheels is a fusion of several philosophies into one concept, DCT – Dual Clutch Transmission. It does away with both the clutch and the shift lever and the automatic transmission can be used in either fully automatic or digital mode, and we literally mean digitally, by a touch of a finger. Building on the motorbike style of the NC, this is a well-disguised scooter, although less so in the case in the S version, which is easy to identify, and which has already adopted the colours and decoration of the racing HRC. It’s obvious that, when speaking of scooters, and faced with the success of the 125 cc (which you need an automobile license to drive) this ‘seven-fifty’ is something else all together. It is, first of all, faster, both in acceleration and maximum speed. Nevertheless, it includes some exclusive features, in particular on the 2014 MY, that has the most dramatic lines, and a new 55 hp engine that, due to technological wizardry, is as quick as we need.
