DIVISIONAL RALLY DIVISIONAL RALLY

Are you interested in being the NEXT Lieutenant Governor of your Division/voting for one?

Lieutenant Governor of the Division is the leader of the region who works as a liaison between club and the district. Our Divisional Rally to elect our new Lieutenant Governor will be held Saturday, February 8th. Candidates will give a speech and answer caucus questions in order to allow delegates to choose the best candidate. Two delegates from each club will be highly encouraged to attend and vote.

**THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT WE MIGHT HAVE TO CANCEL DIVISIONAL RALLY. ACCORDING TO GEORGIA KEY CLUB BYLAWS, AT LEAST 2 DELEGATES FROM 1/3 (3/9 from our division) MUST BE REPRESENTED TO ELCET NEW LTG - WE ARE LACKING DELEGATES. IN THAT CASE, CANDIDATES WHO WISH TO RUN MAY JOIN SERVICE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE ON MARCH TO BE ELECTED, OR CAN BE APPOINTED BY FILLING OUT GOOGLE FORM WITH QUESTIONAIRE & INTERVIEW PROCESS DIRECTLY CONDUCTED BY DISTRICT GOVERNOR (AFTER SLC) **

OFFICER ELECTION REMINDER

According to the Key Club International Bylaw, the club officer board should be elected in a club meeting in February. Please try to elect upcoming officers as soon as you could in order to successfully train the next board! (Officer Information Form)

Seniors, you can still be part of Kiwanis Family in college! Circle K is a organization for College students to continue serving for the community. Check out other branches of Kiwanis those whom Key Club work with!

GOVERNOR’S PROJECT

Igniting Literacy is a state-wide service project for Georgia Key Club members to raise awareness of youth literacy rates. The initiative utilizes strategies such as building Little Libraries, organizing book drives, and using Schoolhouse.world for remote tutoring.

Key Club International offers the Global Leadership Certificate program for members. You’ll have access to nearly 40 courses on topics including building meaningful relationships, strategic versus tactical leadership, selfawareness, inclusion, civic engagement and being an agent for change.

YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES FUND

The next Youth Opportunities Fund cycle ends March 1 at 8:59 p.m. PT/11:59 p.m. ET. The grant awards

US$250 to US$2,000 to Key Clubs if chosen. Let’s take advantage of this opportunity to make a difference without the hassle of fundraising!

District Projects Committee has voted to continue supporting GSYH, setting a goal of $20,000 contribution directly to the organization. The Clubs that raises the most money per member will receive GSYH Award at SLC!

Secretaries and Faculty Advisors, please remember to submit the Monthly Report Form due every 5th of the month.

Once you submit this form, you will receive an email with your responses. If your club has a sponsoring Kiwanis club, please forward this email to their secretary, and use the data to fill out Annual Acheivement form for your club.

10 points each:

10% increase from 2024 district attendance for the 2025 Key Club International Convention.

10% increase in Global Leadership Certificate course completion from 2023-24.

10% increase in Global Engagement Rally registration from 2023.

10% increase in donations to the Youth Opportunities Fund for the Key Club birthday fundraiser from 2024 to June 2025.

5 points each:

10% increase in district convention attendance from 2024.

March 23, 2025, marks the 100th anniversary of Key Club

International! Open to all 33 districts, the Centennial Challenge is designed to foster membership growth and promote district development.

To complete this challenge, a district must achieve 60 points.

CHARTERING

As a reminder, there is a $400 chartering fee (includes member/advisor material) for a newly chartered club. Newly chartered clubs will NOT pay their dues for that year, and Kiwanis club can request a grant from the past Lt. Governors Association covering $200.

Suspended clubs can always reactivate and continue the Key Club journey.

Create a spereadsheet with information from each new member (ex. first and last name, email address, grad year) 1.

Make sure to delete exsisting member so that those members doesn’t get billed 2.

Remember to calculate the dues owed. Using the dues information, determine the total amount of dues and request an invoice. Email the roster information to memberservices@kiwanis.org.

Identify the club with the club name and ID number on the check along with the roster sending it to Key Club headquarter.

Keyosk is GA district’s online planform in which clubs/board members have opportunity to share experiences and information about variety of topics.
