What's poppin my extraordinary peacocks! I hope everyone is doing well especially since we've all been, hopefully, relaxing over the summer. I don't know about you, but college applications are coming up which are kinda freaking me out. Luckily I've been fortunate enough to be in a program that helps will all of the college applications as well as visiting college campuses. If you're a senior I wish everyone the best of luck with college applications. If not, then I wish everyone a good luck with the new school year starting! One thing that I would advise my juniors to do is DO NOT OVERWORK YOURSELF, Thank you!

August DCM Recap

• We had our first in-person DCM! We had a park clean-up at La Mesita Park, we had clubs from Monte Vista, Steele Canyon and Granite Hills show up! We picked up a decent amount of trash with all over the park. We hope to see everyone at our next DCM!
• PEACOCKS! We will be hosting our first OTC of the term! We are planning to host it at the end of July with our sister division, Division 11 Dolphins! It will be held via zoom, as well as our July DCM. We will be having our July DCM be apart of the OTC at the end! More details will be released soon!

Division T-Shirt Contest . Our division T-Shirt designs have now officially closed and the voting window has closed. The NEW T-Shirt design was created by our amazing Executive Assistant, Veronica Ortiz! Don't forget to show her extra love on all her hard work as well as all the other contestants that submitted. their designs to the division. We appreciate all the hard work that everyone put into their T-Shirt designs!

“Hello! I am Katie an incoming junior at West Hills High School! My experience with key club so far has been amazing! I have been very fortunate to be co communications chair for the 2021-2022 key club year and the president for this upcoming year! I love how everyone is so driven to helping out our community. One of my favorite memories of Key Club so far was the beach cleanup last year. It was my first Key Club service experience and I had a blast and made many memories. I’m so excited for the many more experiences I will have in Key Club! A fun fact about myself is I am on my varsity track and field team as a pole vaulter!”

Hello, my name is Julian. I am an upcoming senior at Helix High School and I am 17 years old. I will be the fundraiser coordinator this year. Before I joined the DLT, I was an officer at my school's Key Club and I enjoyed it so much wanted to be more involved. I liked that Kiwanis encouraged students to be active members of their community. The adults and students in Kiwanis are definitely some of the nicest and welcoming people I have ever met. I hope meet all of you at some point.
Hello! My name is Veronica! I am executive assistant. I go to Monte Vista High school and I'm a upcoming senior. I enjoy being a part of key club and have been involved with key club during my junior year. Key Club has been an amazing experience. Being able to work alongside with others. I am grateful that I am able to serve alongside with my community! A fun fact about myself is that I enjoy gaming and enjoy watching cartoons such as teenage mutant ninja turtles.
