76% of 2025 exhibitors re-signed onsite during the booth renewal process

– Bob Wszolek, Content Marketing Specialist, Fronius USA EXHIBITOR

Our first time at IESNA definitely exceeded our expectations as far as foot traffic, but also the quality of the contacts and people that have been stopping by the booth. We’re getting a lot of face time with higher-level people, our key customers that we’d like to work with or are already currently working with, so it’s been a great reaction overall.”

– Mitchell Rodriguez, Key Account Manager, BotCrew

The lead generation that we get out of an event like this is massive for us. I’ve already signed up for next year.”

We talked to some of the biggest EPC. We got the chance to have a face-to-face conversation. So that’s very valuable.”

– Leo Ma, Founder & CEO, RoboForce

THE SOLAR GAMES

The FIFTH ANNUAL SOLAR GAMES brought eight teams from across the U.S. to build residential solar + storage systems over the course of the three-day event. This bracket-style competition took place right on the exhibit hall floor at the San Diego Convention Center.

As the industry’s only installer competition, the Solar Games puts teams‘ knowledge and skills to the test as they are judged on installation quality, safety, speed and more – all live in a stadium setting.

The best part was watching the other teams using different strategies and comparing them. Some strategies were really smart, others were very innovative, and a lot of gamesmanship involved with each team.”

THE SOLAR GAMES

COMPETITION SCHEDULE

There were seven matchups in the 2025 tournament, each lasting 90 minutes. The first round was a grid-tied installation; the winners from each matchup moved on to the semi-finals. The semi-final was an off-grid installation. The winners from those rounds competed in the championship round, which was another off-grid installation with additional AC equipment for an added challenge.

After battling it out in the championship round, Huston Solar walked away with the first-place prize of $10,000 and the title of Solar Games Champion! Runner-ups and first-time competitors Sandbox Solar took home $3,500, while third place and first-time competitors Power Northwest Incorporated received $2,500

We highly recommend it. Even if you do not make it far in the games, the trade show itself is a great experience, the team bonding you gain is immeasurable, and watching masters at their craft can teach you some things you didn’t know before.”
