About SVNIT

Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) is a public technical university in Surat, Gujarat, India. Established in 1961 as one of the Regional Engineering Colleges (RECs), it became a Deemed University in 2007. SVNIT is recognized as an Institute of National Importance and offers undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Sc., and doctoral programs in various engineering branches.

About AIChE

AIChE (American Institute of Chemical Engineers) is a professional organization dedicated to advancing the field of chemical engineering. It provides resources, networking opportunities, and professional development for its members, fostering innovation and knowledge exchange.

Who are We?

The Chemical Engineering Society (ChES) at SVNIT, founded on January 16, 2014, and affiliated with AIChE, promotes knowledge sharing and collaboration among future chemical engineers. It organizes events, seminars, and workshops to foster curiosity and understanding in the field of Chemical Engineering.

About SRC

The Student Regional Conference (SRC) is a yearly three-day event organized by AIChE Global in fourteen regions worldwide. It fosters collaboration among AIChE chapters through workshops, competitions, and seminars. SRC allows Chemical Engineering students to enhance skills, network with industry experts, and showcase their talents. Winners of the AIChE compulsory events can advance to the Annual Student Conference (ASC) in the USA.

"Synergicon" is a term derived from the combination of "synergy" and "conference." "Synergy" represents the collaborative efforts and combined effect of working together, while "conference" denotes a gathering for knowledge exchange.

Conference is having the theme " Closing the Loop" indicating sustainability and the circular economy as key themes. It emphasizes minimizing waste, maximizing resource efficiency, and promoting a holistic approach in chemical engineering.
