Mulgoa Developments Refused

Warragamba Dam 50th anniversary

The proposed 56 place childcare centre next to the Mulgoa Hall on Littlefields Road in Mulgoa was refused by Penrith City Council and the appeal to the Land & Environment Court has not been upheld. The proposed 27 houses development at Glenmore Heritage Golf Club has been refused by the Joint Regional Planning Panel.

The Sydney Catchment Authority is organising a special celebration event to mark the 50th anniversary of the opening of Warragamba Dam on Sunday 17 October. The Warradale Community Action Association is showing a historical Dam movie and photo display on Friday 15th in the Workers Club with a community and reunion event in the Town Hall on Saturday 16th October. They are also organising a ‘Paint the Town Gold & Blue’ competition.

Wallacia Shopping Centre Approved A proposal to build a new supermarket and an additional 6 shops at the corner of Mulgoa Road and Park Road site has been approved by Penrith Council. The existing newsagency will be demolished to allow access to the land behind the shops. The site will be examined for historical significance.
