Statue Unveiled on Remembrance Day This month, on Sunday the 11th of November is Remembrance Day. It marks the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice and there will be a memorial service held at the Warragamba Memorial Park at 10:45am. The Warragamba and District ANZAC Day Committee have been fundraising for the past two years to raise $35,000 to purchase a six-foot bronze statue of the lone soldier. They are pleased to announce that they have achieved their goal and will be proudly unveiling their statue at the Remembrance Day memorial service at Warragamba Memorial Park. Paul Grierson from Simply Bushed will be singing the Australian national anthem and Raise Your Glass, whilst Peter Paki will be singing the New Zealand national anthem at the service. The event will also include a band and choir from Caroline Chisholm Catholic College and St Dominic’s College.
