Kindy is Calling for Nash It’s that time of year when parents rush around in search of crisp new uniforms, sensible black shoes and a trolley load of school supplies that never seem to fit into those teeny little pencil cases. So, who’s ready for school? Nash is! This month, 4-year-old (soon to be 5) Nash Lewtschenko will be starting Kindergarten at Holy Family Primary School in Luddenham. His mum, Jacqui Lewtschenko, says that he is all set for the big day. “He’s looking forward to learning how to read and write, making new friends and doing craft” she said. Nash will be joining his big sister Heidi, who goes into Year 1 at the same school this year. Heidi has already set her sights on helping her brother and making sure that his transition to big school is as smooth as it can be. “I can’t wait to see Nash at school every day and teach him the school rules” said Heidi. Gary and Jacqui, Nash’s parents, know the rollercoaster of highs and lows that go with sending your child to school for the first time. It may get easier the second time around, but it’s still just as emotional. “Sending our youngest child off to school is certainly an exciting and emotional time. We are looking forward to watching Nash grow academically and personally” they said. When quizzed about what he would like to do once he finishes school, there was no hesitation from Nash at all, “I want to be a printer just like Dad, so I can work with him” he cheered. Best of luck Nash and to all the local children starting school this year. It’s the beginning of an amazing journey that they will never forget.  Nash in his school uniform ready for the BIG day! | Image Supplied
