Jordan Springs Netball Club Takes to the Court

An important sporting milestone for the local community was achieved recently, with the Jordan Springs Netball Club coming together to play their first games as a new club in the Penrith District Netball Association this season. “We were happily surprised with the overwhelming response from the community. We had anticipated having 5 teams in our first year and we ended up with 11. We are still receiving inquiries! Our first games went well. We looked amazing at the grounds, and we received many compliments from people at the courts” said Michelle Barnes, President of Jordan Springs Netball Club. The support from the community for the newly formed club meant that 11 teams, consisting of 4 senior teams and 7 junior teams (Under 7’s, 2 x Under 9’s, Under 10’s, Under 12’s, Under 14’s and Under 15’s) were able to take to the court at Jamison Park for the opening rounds this year.
