A Room Full of Empowering Women! International Women’s Day (IWD), which was originally called the International Working Women’s Day, is celebrated on March 8th every year and celebrated differently around the world. They range from a general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women to a celebration for women’s economic, political and social achievements. Last month, the women of Jordan Springs and surrounding suburbs celebrated the amazing women in their community, from the women who are studying, mothers, grandmothers, hard working women, women who run businesses and women who help run, teach and support the community. “Everyone helped play an important part in celebrating IWD and I thank them all for turning up and supporting such an important event!” said Laura Watson, Director of Jordan Springs and Surrounds Women’s Community Group.
