TO MAKE DISCIPLES WHO LOVE, THINK AND ACT LIKE JESUS
We are now officially at the midpoint of our Multiply journey if you can believe it! We were so encouraged by the 162 new households representing over 250 people who made commitments last month to Multiply. This has raised our committed and expected number to $13,714,668!
I want to really highlight and celebrate our incredible staff. Multiplying our Mission begins with our leadership and it starts with our staff. I am pleased to share that The District Church was recently named a Best Christian Workplace for 2022. This is based on an extensive survey our team members complete that is then compared to other churches and ministries nationally. This is a huge honor and shows how engaged our staff are in advancing our mission. Please join me in celebrating them for their hard work and sacrifice!
As you read through this midpoint update may it give you a chance to give thanks to God for all that He is doing in and among us!
On Feb 12th we celebrated 9 people who went public with their faith in Christ through baptism! We are expectantly praying that the Holy Spirit will continue calling people to God and that we’ll be celebrating a record number of baptisms this year!
“Though I’d been raised in a Christian family, it took me until adulthood to truly grasp the gospel and all it entailed - my deep depravity, God’s truly “amazing grace,” and Jesus’ identity as Lord and Savior. I’d been baptized as a baby, but ironically, I found myself feeling like a baby in the faith after letting these truths fully sink in. It was therefore important to me to make the independent choice to be baptized in the presence of friends and family members who had not only walked with
me in my faith journey, but also served as powerful conduits of God’s love and wisdom. I’m so grateful to TDC for modeling for me what the body of Christ can look like, courageously standing for the gospel, and having no motive besides creating lifelong disciples of Jesus.” Sam
Pencein the hearts of our youth! Fourteen of our middle and high school students just completed the Rooted discipleship study. This practical discipleship experience introduced our youth to seven spiritual rhythms that are essential to a growing faith. Our youth reported feeling more connected to God and others as they observed spiritual growth during the time. Their Rooted experience included spending time in prayer, engaging in devotional activities three times a week, a day of service in Alexandria, sharing their spiritual journey stories, and celebrating the spiritual growth they experienced through Rooted!
for a permanent Sunday home continues to move forward!
We are believing God to give us a space in the heart of our city that will provide a long-term witness in this city that can accommodate our growing church. We are seeing doors begin to open that we have been praying about for years! We can’t say too much at this time, but know that God is at work in this area. Pray for our city and a permanent location in the heart of the District.

On March 18th over 70 people gathered for a park clean up at Four Mile Run in Alexandria. As part of our Rooted Serve experience we gathered bags and bags of trash along the water in helping care for God’s creation. Please pray as we begin to build a pre-launch team for a VA location.
This last month we were able to give $120,000 to three church plants because of your expanded generosity to Multiply.
