Greetings Stroud Citizens,

I am very excited to share the news of our latest adventure! The city of Stroud was awarded an Oklahoma Route 66 Revitalization Grant. The grant is to add neon signs to local businesses who agreed to be a part of that grant process. The grant award for this grant is $999,600. Congratulations to Leslie Wilbourn, our Grant Administrator and all the other citizens who worked tirelessly to make this a possibility. This will certainly change the way our main street shines at night.

We will celebrate with a ribbon cutting on September 12, at 2:30 the opening and completion of Old Stroud Road Bridge and service road. It has been a pleasure working with the OTA and Sherwood Construction Company on this project. If your schedule allows you are welcome to join us for this event. Other events this month to keep in mind are the Chamber of Commerce’s golf tournament September 20th, the balloon festival at Arcadia September 2022nd, and the Boots and Pearls Child Well Being event in Chandler September 26th. Good things are happening at Stroud and in Lincoln County, thanks for being a part of that!
