POSITION: WATER/WASTEWATER OPERATOR

The Cit y of Pawnee is accepting applicants for Water/ Wastewater Operator Duties include, but not limited to, operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of the water and wastewater treatment plants, collection and distribution systems, wells and booster pump stations. Must be able to lif t 50 lbs., work from ladders, and in confined spaces as well as extreme heights, and in ditches. Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and in emergencies, as well as, extreme weather conditions. Must be able to work as an "on call" operator af ter training period is complete. Must be able to wear a respirator and or an S.C.B.A Candidate must have a valid Oklahoma drivers license. C.D.L. is a plus. Candidate must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. Candidate should have a "D water and wastewater license and a "C water and wastewater lab license, or the abilit y to obtain these licenses within one year of employment. Experience working with track hoes, backhoes, and other machiner y is a plus.
