Wishing everyone a happy, healthy, and very prosperous New Year! As we begin 2023, we want to make you aware of somethings to look forward to in Stroud. Thanks to a grant we will begin construction of a safe access sidewalk to the retail and grocery store West on Hwy 66. This has been a safety concern for us for years. We have started the groundwork for new hangers at the airport. They should be completed in early August. A grant will provide new transportation for our Senior Citizens and the Fire Department is receiving a new tanker from a grant they received. Even though the housing market has slowed we are in a good position for new development in and surrounding town. We are expecting construction to begin on the turnpike in our area this year so with all this we are preparing for a busy year. You may have noticed we are clearing all utility easements and that should continue into Spring. I would like to thank Avem Health Care and everyone who contributed to the Stroud Foundation. This will be something that will benefit the Citizens of Stroud for many years. I am proud and blessed to call Stroud my home. Stay friendly and do something intentionally nice for your neighbors.
