August in Pawnee is the me every parent is looking forward to, BACK TO SCHOOL!! We are so excited to have our children ge ng back to a normal schedule. A er such a busy and very hot summer, August is the month we all re-group. Football schedules, fi rst day of classes for many, fall fes vals and cooler evenings. We are very excited for the new owners of the Buff alo Theater downtown. It is looking great and they have lots of events planned for the near future. Big plans in the works for the 90th Celebra on of Dick Tracy’s birthday and the Bear Creek Ar san Fes val to be held October 2, 11 a.m.-4p.m. on the Pawnee County Court House Square. Cra and Art vendors, BQ ribs, a bounce house, co on candy for the kids and a big Dick Tracy parade with our Pawnee High School band, Pawnee Police and Fire departments. The Pawnee County Historical Museum is sponsoring an art contest and a costume contest in honor of Dick Tracy’s birthday and a Birthday cake too!! We are working for you!
