H-O-R-S-E Tournament May 27th • 6 PM Remember the days when you had it . . . well,you still do. That jump shot may now be a set shot. You may not be as smooth as Sherry Salyer, have a jump shot like Ronnie Harris, be as athletic as Bobby Riley, or even dunk it like Kevin Bookout, but this will be a fun event. Each participant will be competing against those who graduated in their decade. Example: 70’s basketball players will play a HORSE game against all those from 1970-1979. It is a HORSE game, so no physical activity.

Local high school senior awarded MFA Foundation scholarship Raigan Shea Newnam, a graduating senior at Stroud High School, has won a $2,000 MFA Foundation scholarship. The scholarship was sponsored by MFA Oil, Stroud, OK. This scholarship is one of approximately 225 presented this year by the MFA Foundation to help students pursue studies and develop careers that enhance the future of rural America. Scholarships are offered annually in areas where a participating MFA Agri Services Center, MFA Oil Company propane plant, MFA Oil Company bulk plant or other MFA agency is located. Winners are selected by local committees. Raigan is the child of John and Sheana Newnam and plans to attend Oklahoma Baptist University. The MFA Foundation is a nonprofit, philanthropic organization with the primary purpose of providing educational opportunities to high school seniors in MFA’s trade territory. Since 1965, the Foundation has provided financial assistance to more than 15,000 students.
