Cora is proud to be performing in her fourth production with the Paddock School Ensemble! She is excited to be playing the roles of “Hermes” and “Pirate” in the LADY PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN. She was last seen as a lab assistant named “Julie” in the play THE RATS OF NIHM. She also was part of the ensemble in SPONGEBOB THE MUSICAL, and played “Roman citizen 3” and “Pirate 3” in MR. TOAD’s EXCELLENT ADVENTURE. She plans to continue acting and singing after she graduates Paddock, and hopes to be a professional singer when she’s older. She’d like to give a big thank you to her parents and older sister for all of their support!
Hazel Read – Eris/ Pirate
Previously at Paddock Ensemble: Teresa/ Rats of N.I.M.H, Ensemble/The SpongeBob Musical Hazel is excited to be portraying Eris, "Goddess of Strife and Discord" in her third production with the Paddock Ensemble. She was last seen as Teresa Frisby in RATS OF NIMH and in the ensemble of SPONGEBOB THE MUSICAL. She was also seen as Ensemble/Featured Dancer in ANNIE, as Ensemble/Eel 2 in FINDING NEMO, and as Eeyore 1 in WINNIE THE POOH. In her free time, she loves art, video games, and hanging with friends. Eliana is elated to participate in her final Paddock School Ensemble production. She is in 5th grade and enjoys playing piano, reading, watching TV and hanging out with her friends and sister Zoe. Her past theater performances include “Christopher Robin” in WINNIE THE POOH and “Magic Hairbrush” in TWICE UPON A TIME both with the Palatine Park District Rising Stars Youth Theater. She also performed as “Mole” in MR. TOAD’S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE, “Mrs. Puff” in SPONGEBOB THE MUSICAL and most recently “Nicodemus” in THE RATS OF NIMH with the Paddock School Ensemble. Eliana would like to thank her mom, dad, sister and entire family for their endless support, encouragement and love. Eliana is also very happy that her mom, Stethia Criner, has made the costumes for all of her shows. She would like to thank Ms. Fink and Ms. Christensen for sharing their love of theater with the entire cast. Gargi is pleased to be working with Paddock School Ensemble where she was last seen playing "Zephyr" in the musical, Lady Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Tempest Trill. Gargi also played "Sleepy" at a Palatine Public show. She likes to do all the arts (singing, dancing, painting, etc.) and is athletic. Gargi would like to acknowledge her parents and sister for their support and love.

Margot is thrilled to be making her stage debut as part of The Lady Pirates of the Caribbean! She is honored to be part of this special production, especially as it is Mr. Z's final show. Lana is thrilled to be returning to the stage in her fourth and final production at Paddock, playing the role of “Eura” in LADY PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE TEMPEST TRILL. She was recently seen on stage as “Mrs. Frisby #2” in THE RATS OF NIMH. Lana would love to extend a giant thank you to Mr. Z for believing in her, giving her this opportunity, and sharing his passion for the arts; to Ms. Fink and Ms. Christensen for their support and guidance; to the entire cast and crew for making this all possible; and to her family and friends for their endless love and support.

Ryan Zhang – Poseidon/Francisco
Paddock School Ensemble Debut
Ryan is honored to be a member of the Paddock School Ensemble this year. This marks his first participation in onstage plays and musicals at the school. He joined Paddock School last year as a third-grade student in the gifted program, where he began playing the piano for Chorus. Ryan has studied piano for five years and has received numerous awards and recognitions for his concert performances. He has also played basketball for nearly one year. In his free time, Ryan enjoys reading fictional books and building with Legos. He would like to express his sincere gratitude to his parents for their love and support.

Charlotte is excited to be playing One-Eyed Wendy in her debut musical. She was last seen in Rats of NIMH as the evil Jenner. She loves to travel with her family and visit National Parks across the country. Her favorite hike is a 9 mile walk/swim through the Narrows of Zion National Park. A huge thank you to Mr. Zielinski for giving her the opportunity of a lifetime again.
Olamide Olaigbe - Jane
Previously at Paddock Ensemble: Patchy the Pirate and Sardine/The SpongeBob Musical, Olamide is thrilled to be back on the Paddock stage ! With this being her final year at Paddock she is excited to be part of the cast of THE LADY PIRATES OF CAPTAIN BREE. She enjoys singing, dancing, and acting, and preformed in the SPONGEBOB musical as "Patchy the pirate" last spring. Her hobbies include basketball,softball, art and spending time with friends and family. Olamide also plays the clarinet in her school band and sings in chorus. She thanks her family and friends for their endless support and the fabulous directors who give her and other cast members a chance to reach their dreams.
Caitlynne Kim – Maggie
Previously at Paddock Ensemble: Martin/ Rats of N.I.M.H , Electric Skate/The SpongeBob Musical Caitynne is thrilled to be back for her 3rd production with the Paddock School Theater. Some of Caitlynne's favorite roles she has played are "Martin" in Rats of NIMH & "Electric State" in SpongeBob the musical. Caitlynne would like to thank Mom, Dad, her CK sisters, cast, crew and her friends for their support and encouragement throughout this amazing journey. Ellie Vanhorn – Lady Daga

Ellie is thrilled to be included in Paddock’s spring musical. She was last seen this past fall as “Mrs. Shew” in RATS OF N.I.M.H. Last year she was given the opportunity to play “Graygoatee” in MR. TOAD’S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE and “Sardine 1/Security Guard” in SPONGEBOB THE MUSICAL. Ellie has developed the love of theatre which led her to venture out to play an Umpa Lumpa in WILLY WONKA JR at a local dance studio. Ellie also participates in the school choir and studio club. In her free time, you can catch Ellie flipping around doing gymnastics or engrossed in a creative craft. Ellie would like to thank Mr. Z for giving her the opportunity with her theatre roles here at Paddock and for Ms. Christensen and Ms. Fink for all their encouragement and advice. Lucy is very thrilled to appear as Julia Prescott in LADY PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN. She has been in two other Paddock productions as "Electric Skate 1" in SPONGEBOB and "Justin" in RATS OF NIMH. When she is not on stage, Lucy enjoys playing softball and hanging out with friends and family. She would like to thank her family for their continued support and Mr.Z for his guidance and encouragement in all the productions.
Lillian Ward – Shawna

Lillian is excited to work with Paddock School where she was last seen playing "Young Nicodemus" in Rats of N.I.H.M. She looks forward to showing her skills playing Shawna and building a community with her castmates and production crew. One of her accomplishments is moving from a one-line role in Willy Wonka to a larger role with Paddock School Ensemble. With her passion for theater, she is looking forward to future school plays. Hayley Nolan – Dawna
Previously at Paddock Ensemble: Dagger and Young Jenner/ Rats of N.I.M.H , Ensemble/The SpongeBob Musical, Nicole Rader and Field / Mr. Toad’s Excellent Adventure
Hayley is so happy to be part of her fourth production at Paddock! (But sad that it's her last one!) She first took the stage as Nicole Radder and Field in Mr. Todd's Excellent Adventure, followed by being a featured dancer in the Ensemble Cast of SpongeBob the Musical. This past fall, she had dual roles as Dagger and Young Jenner in The Rats of NIMH. Last summer, Hayley also performed in Annie, Jr. at the Metropolis Theater in Arlington Heights. She is so thankful to Mr. Z for seeing her potential and casting her in Mr. Todd's Excellent Adventure, and to Ms. Christensen and Ms. Fink for being so supportive! Performing with her friends, and seeing her family cheering her on from the audience, are memories Hayley will cherish forever!
Violet McBride – Captain Bree

Violet is delighted to be joining Paddock School Ensemble for the final time this spring as "Captain Bree"! Her past roles include "Electric Skate" from SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS and "Cynthia" from RATS OF NIMH. Violet is looking forward to theater camp this summer at Metropolis and continuing to follow her passion for acting at Plum Grove Middle School next year. In her free time, Violet loves to play soccer, write stories, film small movies, and edit them.
Claire Carey – Nox the Cursed

Claire is thrilled to play the bad guy, Nox the Cursed, in LADY PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE TEMPEST TRILL. This is her fourth production with The Paddock School Ensemble. Being on stage with her classmates has been the high of her elementary school life, and she will miss it very much. She would like to thank her friends and family for always cheering her on, her grandma (Hom) for being her greatest fan, her mom for birthing her, Mrs. Criner for making her the best costume in every show, Miss Fink, Miss Christensen, and most of all Mr. Zielinski for helping her discover her love of theater. She feels very lucky to be part of Mr. Z’s final swashbuckling adventure!

Preston is pleased to be working again with Paddock School Ensemble where he was last seen playing "Buster Blue-Tang" and was a feature dancer in the musical, SPONGEBOB. Preston loves to play (and watch) football, basketball and baseball in his free time. He loves entertaining people with his unique (aka the "onion") personality and has a zest for life. His dream is to one day play in the NFL, or be famous in some way. Preston would like to thank his family for supporting him on this acting adventure.
Joe Jose – Lord Halsten/Jonas the Rattle

Joe is thrilled to be part of the Paddock School musical production Lady Pirates of the Caribbean: The Tempest Trill, where he plays the roles of Lord Halsten and Jonas the Rattler. This marks Joe’s fourth stage show. He has previously appeared as Chuck the Pirate in Mr. Toad’s Adventures, Mr. Mayor in The SpongeBob Musical, and Mr. Ages in Rats of NIMH.
An active and passionate theater performer, Joe is especially skilled at memorizing lines quickly and performing confidently without stage fright. He is deeply grateful to his parents and siblings for sacrificing their schedules to support his rehearsal hours. Joe is honored and proud to be part of Mr. Zelinski’s final production as Paddock School’s drama classroom teacher.
As Joe graduates to middle school this year, he looks forward to future opportunities to work with Ms. Christenson and Ms. Flink in upcoming Paddock School productions, whether as a helper or crew member. He is sincerely thankful to the entire cast and crew and will carry his Paddock School theater memories with him always.
Anvay Shah – Lord Beckett

Anvay is thrilled to be part of Paddock’s 25th show. This marks his fourth time onstage and his second musical . He was most recently seen as Jeremy the crow in Rats of NIMH. When he’s not performing , Anvay can usually be found chatting away or enjoying his favorite TV shows.He is grateful to his family and teachers for their constant support and the wonderful opportunities they’ve given him .

Olive is so excited to be in the LADY PIRATES of the CARIBBEAN playing "Lady Begonia" and can't wait to show of her character that loves to gossip with her friend, "Lady Petunia". Olive has not been in a show yet, but she has been in dance shows for Megleo's dance studio for 7 years. Some of the dances that she has been in are tap, ballet and jazz. Olive enjoys doing art such as drawing, painting, and making things out of clay. Olive loves to sing and dance and cannot wait to do it on stage. She thanks her mom and dad for helping her get herself together and tryout for the musical.

Henry is excited to be a part of LADY PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: THE TEMPEST TRILL, his third and final Paddock School Production, playing "Captain Jack Sparrow". He was last seen in THE RATS OF N.I.M.H as "Brutus", and as "Johnny" in THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL. During his free time Henry enjoys playing the piano and alto saxophone as well as playing baseball. Elif is thrilled to be part of her second production with Paddock School Ensemble and hopes to have a wonderful final show at school while continuing to meet new people on her acting journey. She previously appeared as “Georgette” who was a scientist in MRS. FRISBY AND THE RATS OF NIMH and is excited to play “Murtogg” in the musical LADY PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN. She loves art, horse riding, and creative design layouts, she loves expressing her imagination both on stage and in her artwork. Jackson Christell – Ensemble
Previously at Paddock Ensemble: Young Justin and Rune/ Rats of N.I.M.H Jackson is very pleased to be in the "Tempest Trill" musical as a member of the ensemble! It is his first time being in a Paddock musical! He made his stage debut in the fall play "The Rats of NIMH" as Young Justin, Rune, and a Rat Citizen. Jackson is sad that this is Mr. Z's last musical but is very proud to be a part of it. In his free time he likes to play video games and read chapter books. He also likes to make forts with his two younger brothers Maddox and Callum. He hopes that he can make this the greatest musical that Mr. Z has put on! Sophia is excited to be part of Mr. Z's last play at Paddock as a dancer and singer in the Ensemble. She loves playing with her friends and using her imagination to create art.

Abigail is excited to be working with the Paddock School Ensemble again this spring for her third school production. She has been seen in the Rats of N.I.M.H. and SpongeBob, the Musical. Abigail also participated in the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre’s production of Peter Pan last summer. Avery is pleased to be participating in the production of LPOCTEMPEST TRILL. as a member of the Ensemble. While this marks his first appearance in a Paddock show, he has previously performed on stage as the “Old Man” in THE GINGERBREAD MAN and as a “Farmer” in the musical STONE SOUP, both productions during his time at Quest Academy. He has a strong appreciation for music and is currently pursuing piano and clarinet . In addition to his theatrical pursuits, his love for vocal performance makes him an active member of both his church choir and his school chorus. He is grateful for the opportunity to continue developing his performing arts skills and thanks his family, teachers, and directors for their support.

Oksana is pleased to be working with PADDOCK SCHOOL ENSEMBLE, where she was last seen playing “Sable”, a rat citizen, in RATS OF NIMH. She has enjoyed being part of the ensemble and loves bringing characters to life on stage. When she is not performing, Oksana enjoys spending time with her family, being creative, and having fun with friends. This final production has truly been six years in the making. When I first began mapping out the shows I hoped to direct, I knew that the last one would bring us back to The Lady Pirates of the Caribbean. My first encounter with these characters in 2013 quickly became a desire to create a sequal, and then a trilogy. I fell in love with the the character’s personalities and the larger questions that their existence asked. Over the years, this show continued to grow and change, shaped by time, collaboration, and many drafts of how this was all going to wrap up. The Tempest Trill felt like the right place to end the journey.
This story is much more than a pirate adventure. At its heart, it explores who holds power and how it is used. The Tempest Trill controls the winds and the seas, forcing order through fear, while the Lady Pirates challenge that idea by choosing courage, trust, and a willingness to imagine something different. It felt fitting that my final show would be one that asks what it means to lead, when to let go, and how change often begins with listening rather than commanding. I am incredibly proud of the cast for the work they have done to bring this world to the stage and for the growth they have shown throughout the process.
This production would not have been possible without the support of many people. First I would like to thank Leah Blaine who brought all my ideas to a coherant script. Her abilty to take my ideas and get them perfectly crafted is awe inspiring. I would like to thank Ms. Christensen, Ms. Fink, Mrs. Madsen, and Mrs. Stickney for being wonderful partners on this journey. Their guidance, wisdom, and support over the past months helped both me and the cast in countless ways. Thank you to the cast, crew, and parent volunteers who dedicated hours of time and energy to make this show the best it could be. A special thank you to Stethia Criner and the entire costume committee for capturing the look and feel of this world so beautifully. Thank you as well to Jason Christ, Emily Kaffel, and the PTA for their continued and unending support.
I would also like to thank my wife, DeLynn, for supporting me through this production and throughout my career, and my children Leah, Morgan and Isa for helping out with productions from the beginning and being my biggest cheerleaders. From running sound boards, to helping with logos or just being a sounding board for ideas my whole family has been so incredibly supportive of my passion. Lastly, I want to thank my mother and father, to whom I dedicate this show. They introduced me to the world of stage and visual arts and raised me in it from a very young age. Performing alongside them created some of the most magical memories of my life, and it was with that same hope that I set out to create meaningful theatrical experiences for a new generation of children in the Paddock community. I am forever grateful for their love, inspiration, and support. I hope you enjoy my final show.

Ms. Christensen – Assistant Director
Miss Christensen is thrilled to be a part of another Paddock production. She has been a part of Paddock's theater program since Spring 2023. At an early age, Miss Christensen developed a love for theater, being involved in her school choirs, plays, musicals, speech, and drama clubs. She is so excited to continue this passion into her teaching career!
Ms. Fink – Assistant Director
Miss Fink has been a part of theatre since she was in 4th grade - as a student! She has been a part of Paddock's theater program since Fall 2022, which has fulfilled her lifelong dream of directing as an elementary teacher. She is so unbelievably proud of the hard work and dedication of each and every student in this show. Break a leg, everyone!
Mrs. Madsen – Musical Director
Mrs. Madsen has loved the stage since the third grade and has wonderful memories from school and community theater productions. She is thrilled to be the Musical Director for Lady Pirates of the Caribbean: The Tempest Trill. This is her fifth production at Paddock.
Kristine Stickney – Choreographer
Kristine is so honored to be returning for her 8th year with the Paddock Musical! Mrs. Stickney holds a BA in Theatre Arts/Dance Performance from Northern Illinois University. She is the Co-Owner of That’s Entertainment Performing Arts here in Palatine where she teaches dance, voice & musical theatre. She also actively choreographs with many local theatres, most recently including ECC, 4Chairs, Metropolis, Pride Arts Chicago, Theatre Nebula, William Street Rep & Big Noise. Before settling down here in Palatine with her family, she performed professionally as a singer/dancer regionally with many Chicagoland theatres and throughout the country with Six Flags, Royal Caribbean & Walt Disney World. She is now a mom of 3 and absolutely loves sharing her joy and passion for the arts with her students.
