Community Garden Takes Shape

Although a bit behind in setting up, the Richer Community Garden is taking shape. The greenhouse structure, fencing and water towers/watering system are the final assets that are being installed. The Richer Community Club has secured hundreds of starter plants to be transplanted to salvage the later start. Other areas will be seeded with short season vegetable seed to make up for the late planting.

Dawson Trail Museum

Our Past.

Museum On Solid Foundation

This year’s project at the museum was the restoration of the foundation skirting. The contractor was GPS Griffith Plaster & Stucco by Brandon Griffith right here in Richer. It consisted of removing all the old parging, loose mortar, window casings and restoring them with stones. We were amazed by the quality craftsmanship of their work. The foundation is now restored to its original state. The museum was granted a sum of $30,000 from the Francophone Economic Development Fund for the Prairies / FDÉFP, Fonds de Développement Économique pour les Projets. Thank you to CDEM for their help in acquiring this grant. The museum envelope is now complete.
