Germany utilises Riesling grapes to great advantage and the resulting wines have a range from Trocken (dry), Kabinett (mediumdry), through medium and sweet, to Beerenauslese (very sweet) and Eiswein (even sweeter). Their estate is recognised as one of the largest family-owned wineries in the Rheingau. ‘Allendorf Save Water Drink Riesling’ (dry) has a primary fruity sensation, including apricot and crisp apple, for the nasal senses. Committed and dedicated to their productions, the wines produced have exceptional quality. ‘Aldinger Rebhuhn Riesling Trocken’ I found to have very acceptable orchard fruits on the bouquet. It is certainly crisp and fresh, with a good finish on the palate.
