Deeping St James and have worked twenty of my thirty-five years in the travel industry with Travel Counsellors. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience, and I’m passionate about travel. I can arrange your dream holiday or organise your perfect business trip.

Whatever, and wherever a customer wants to go, I want to see and experience what a destination has to offer, share my thoughts to create the perfect holiday for my customer. And when they return home, I want to hear all about their holiday, see their photos, listen to what they experienced and the memories they will have forever.

Trusted advice

As travel arrangements continue to change and caution lingers, I stay abreast of the latest FCDO travel advice and the safety protocols of the destinations and hotels I work with.

At the moment, there are places that you are ok to travel to, such as Italy, Madeira, some Greek islands and some Caribbean islands, but travel rules and regulations may change at short notice!

Let’s create something to look forward to in 2021

Whether you are thinking about worldwide, European or UK holidays, skiing, cruising, touring, safari, fly-drive, city-break, wedding, honeymoon or help with accessibility holidays, let me help you plan your next trip.

In these uncertain times, you may prefer to take a holiday closer to home. The British Isles have never been more popular. From castles, houses and cottages, boats, caravans and campervans or family seaside holidays, there are plenty of ideas to choose from. Many companies have more flexible booking conditions and have extended their booking dates, giving you many more options.

Why not give me a call or e-mail to find out more?

As your Travel Counsellor, my sole aim is to look after your travel plans, better than anyone else. I give honest and professional advice, I’m contactable when you need me. By booking with me, you can rest assured that you will have financial protection, the “myTC app”, choice, flexibility and bespoke service that promises complete peace of mind when looking forward to your well-earned break.

Welcome to your October Issue

Welcome to October’s issue. Just when some of us thought it was safe to call ourselves “empty-nesters” as our last teenagers head off to university, a warning has been issued, claiming that the present financial uncertainty has prompted almost 60% of UK students to consider dropping out of their university degrees. With some students returning or going to university for the first time around now, pressure and financial support group SavetheStudent claims that increasing numbers are deeply concerned their finances won’t stand the pressure of such uncertain times! Oh well, there will be plenty of jobs around the house and garden to keep them busy … oh no, they’ve already been done during the lockdown. Brace yourselves, “Bank of Mum and Dad”! Anyway, as ever, there’s plenty here to keep all of your family informed and entertained, and don’t forget to change your clocks (“Spring forward, Fall back”), as we lose the hour on Sunday October 25th. This month’s issue combines the usual sparkling array of articles from our team of dedicated contributors. It gives us great pleasure to know that there are so many individuals who put in so much effort to ensure that their monthly contribution is not only relevant and topical, but also that it appears in such a way that you, our readers, will find it useful and, hopefully, entertaining.

As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to run its tragic course, this caught my eye recently. A man was seen using a live snake as a face covering on a bus from Swinton into Manchester. Transport bosses said passengers can make their own face covering or wear something suitable, such as a scarf or bandana, adding, “We do not believe it extends to the use of snakeskin - especially when still attached to the snake.”

And finally, last week I put up a world map on the kitchen wall, gave my wife a dart and said, “Throw this and wherever it lands - that’s where I’m taking you when this pandemic is all over.”

Just our luck … two weeks behind the fridge!

THE NEXT STEPS!

My priority is for the safety and well-being of my patients, also I need to look after myself! With this in mind, and following the advice from the College of Foot Health Practitioners and my insurance company, I am happy to see patients in their homes, with the following procedures in place:

■ Safe distancing: I will ask you to open the door and then I will wait until you are seated in your preferred chair so that I can work around you. ■ Personal protective equipment (PPE): I will have all the necessary protective gear including a face mask. You can wear a mask if you want to. I’m ready when you are!”
