AMBASSATOURS GRAY LINE Ambassatours Gray Line has introduced two new ways to experience Halifax. Their new Walking Tours offer a closer look at the city’s rich history, vibrant waterfront and many hidden gems. The Peggy’s Cove Sunset Tour provides a relaxed evening escape to one of Nova Scotia’s most iconic coastal villages. Ambassatours Gray Line has been recognized with the 2026 Traveler’s Choice Award, placing them among the top 10% of things to do worldwide!

PJILA’SI EXHIBIT NOVA SCOTIA MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY Pjila’si, meaning ‘welcome’ in Mi’kmaw, is more than an exhibit – it's an interactive space designed to celebrate Mi’kmaw culture and language. This new permanent gallery at the Museum of Natural History offers visitors a deeper understanding of Mi’kmaw traditions, storytelling, and ways of knowing.

WESTIN NOVA SCOTIAN The iconic Westin Nova Scotian is also undergoing full room renovations scheduled to begin November 2026 with an expected completion in June 2027.
Cruise News Halifax is the marquee port of call for cruise ships visiting Atlantic Canada. The 2026 cruise season began on April 7 and will run until November 5. The Port of Halifax is expecting 189 vessel calls by 28 cruise lines and approximately 363,000 guests in 2026.

New service to Brussels. Air Canada’s London (Heathrow) service to Halifax operates year-round. Additional seasonal direct flights will also be operated from Frankfurt on Discover; from Zurich on Edelweiss and Reykjavik on Icelandair.
BEST WESTERN PREMIER HALIFAX AIRPORT HOTEL Construction on the new 128-room property is underway with an anticipated completion for early 2027.
PRINCE GEORGE HOTEL Full guestroom and hallway renovations at the Prince George Hotel are scheduled to begin in Q4 of 2026 with completion by spring 2027.

Canada Pride 2027 Canada Pride 2027 will be hosted by Halifax Pride, July 15–25, 2027. The national celebration will bring together communities from coast to coast to coast for ten days of connection, visibility, and celebration. The festival will introduce 20+ new events across the Halifax Regional Municipality—amplifying 2SLGBTQIA+ voices and showcasing the rich cultural fabric of the Maritimes.
Restaurant News MYSTIC took top spot as “Air Canada’s Best New Restaurant” for 2025. Located on the Halifax waterfront in Queen’s Marque, the stunning restaurant guides guests through an extraordinary immersive culinary adventure through their distinct tasting menus. MYSTIC has also been named No. 16 on the ‘Canada’s 100 Best’ restaurants in 2026. TRIBUTE, whose food is centered around live fire and charcoal cookery, has garnered the 53rd spot.
