Happy Holidays
from Discover Concord!
O
Once again, the winter holidays are here, bringing time together with family, friends, and neighbors. Concord is bustling with activities ranging from open houses and holiday markets to concerts and performances all around town. Turn to p. 14 for “Holiday Celebrations Around Town” and find more than a dozen upcoming celebrations and time-honored traditions of the season. As always, we encourage you to shop locally. Whether you shop in person, strolling the charming streets of Concord, or shop our local boutiques online, you will find a stunning array of unique gifts for everyone on your list. And shopping locally ensures that we as a community continue to enjoy vibrant town centers filled with the gathering spaces we love. Concord’s restaurants are planning their holiday fare and looking forward to welcoming you. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite during holiday shopping or a special night out, you’ll find the perfect venue just down the street. Many also have private dining options or catering services for parties at home. Our list of “Where to Stay, Where to Shop, and Where to Eat,” along with walking maps of Concord Center, Thoreau Depot, and West Concord, are all here in this issue, so keep it on hand as you plan your holiday outings. The year end is traditionally a time to give back. As you think about your annual charitable giving, please remember Concord’s non-profit organizations. From museums and historic sites to art venues and food banks, these are the groups – and volunteers – that devote countless hours to maintaining our cultural programs. They need our financial support, and we’ve put together a guide to some of Concord’s hard-working philanthropic groups to make yearend giving a breeze. Just turn to p. 50 and support some of your favorites.

“
I am grateful for so many things in my life. Specifically, my health, my children, my community, my team and my friends. What a thrilling life this continues to be and I am amazed how fast time goes by....too fast really. I am thankful for all the opportunities the people in Concord have afforded me. Building a life, building a business, but most of all building relationships. Thirty plus years of exposure in Concord working to guide people through some of the best of times and even, on occasion, the hardest of times in their lives. I hope and believe I made things easier for the clients I served. Better. The human side of this enterprise is what keeps me going. I am grateful to be at an age and at a point in my journey to wisdom, that I am able to do what I do at the highest standard. I remain passionate about the work. For those who know me or have trusted me, thank you for being part of the ride. What more could I ask for?

Non-profit groups are at the core of Concord’s beloved cultural and historic heritage. They preserve our history, foster our creativity, educate, inform, and even feed our community. These are the people and volunteers that serve Concord year-round, and our town would be so much less without them. So please remember to include Concord’s non-profit organizations in your holiday giving.

Looking to Buy or Sell Property In Concord?
EXPERIENCE— COMPASSION— INTEGRITY
A local agent with great experiences makes all the difference. Call Cheryl to Get Started! “Cheryl was incredible to work with. She walked us through every step in selling our home. From our first meeting, she helped us prepare our home to sell and was always available to answer even the smallest questions. We were relocating for work and had a timeline that we needed to meet to move. She understood all our needs and was very thoughtful throughout the selling process. In the end, we sold our house for the price we were looking for, on the timeline we needed to meet. I can't thank her enough and highly recommend her as an agent.” Kim R. 9/2022
“Cheryl was indispensable in the sale of our home in what was a very compressed timeframe. She gave us solid advice, coached us through every step in the process and kept us on track to meet very tight deadlines. She helped us prep the house and property, developed first rate marketing materials and executed the plan to deliver multiple competitive offers. She was a great partner.” Deb & Ed K. 10/2022
As a Concord native, it is a true pleasure to welcome you to the town I love!
