Hidden Charm of Hoi An Set off on a full-day captivating exploration of the ancient town of Hoi An, a former 16th to 18th-century trading port that hosted merchants from China, the Netherlands, France, Japan, Portugal, and Arabia. Wander through the charming streets adorned with honey-yellow buildings, revealing exquisite ancient architecture influenced by Portuguese, Chinese, and Japanese cultures. Begin your journey at Chua Ong Pagoda, a Chinese-inspired marvel from 1653. Continue to Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, Jinshang Temple, Tan Ky House, and the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge. Take a break at Reaching Out Tea House for a revitalising cup before enjoying lunch and a cooking demonstration. My Son Holy Land (Private) From the 4th to the 13th centuries, the Champa Kingdom flourished on the coast of Vietnam with My Son as its religious and intellectual centre. Get picked up at the hotel and head out on a 50-kilometre drive to the stunning ancient temple complex. Located in a valley of dramatic beauty, the monuments of My Son are the most important constructions of the Champa Kingdom and were declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. Whilst walking through the complex, learn about the history, architectural styles, and cultural significance of the temples. Out of more than 70 temples that once spread out over this beautiful valley only some 20 remain; several are wellpreserved while others are in ruins, damaged during the Vietnam War. Take in the stunning temples against the dramatic mountain backdrop and listen to the knowledgeable guide explain the influence of Hinduism on the Champa people; even pointing out the Hindu deities memorialised at My Son.
