Batu Caves Cultural Exploration and Urban Charm Food Tour (Shared)

At 9 am, take the monorail up above the bustling streets of Kuala Lumpur to begin your day at the Sam Kow Tong Temple. Discover the secrets of the ‘Temple of Three Teachings’ and marvel at its location, squatting amongst skyscrapers, before enjoying a light breakfast in a local coffee shop.

Reach the KL Sentral station to catch a train out of the city to the Batu Caves. One of Malaysia’s most important Hindu Temples lies within an impressive cave system where your expert guide will help you understand the religious roots of this diverse nation.

After working up your appetite in the temples, it is time to hit the streets once more to find the nation’s favourite lunch — served on a banana leaf! Walk through one of the city’s busiest streets, Jalan Masjid India, lined with an array of colourful goods and food, before sitting down to your feast. Since this tour doesn’t include a hotel transfer, feel free to arrange transport back to your hotel at your convenience.

Meet your guide again at 5 pm at Parkroyal Collection opposite Sungei Wang Plaza before setting off on a gastronomic adventure through Kuala Lumpur. Visit the iconic Lot 10 Hutong food court, whose restaurants are run by multi-generational families. This is our first stop to savour Malaysia’s quintessential dessert, Cendol—a pandan jellyinfused treat topped with coconut milk and palm sugar.

Travel to Sri Maha Temple via MRT, where you will learn about the temple’s significance within the city’s Indian community.
