Cinema goers are being invited to dress up as their favourite country or act to get in the Eurovision spirit. A spokesman for the cinema said: "For the first time in the history of Eurovision, cinemas are being given exclusive access to screen the event live on May 13.

“Whilst many people may have missed out on tickets to see events unfold in Liverpool, watching it on a big screen with an audience all out to have a great night, has got to be the next best thing. We're encouraging the audience to come dressed up as their favoured country or act and ready to get in the spirit of the evening.”

This year, the UK is set to be represented by singer-songwriter Mae Muller with the track I Wrote a Song. The singer-songwriter - whose real name is Holly Mae Muller - is best known for featuring on Neiked's song Better Days alongside rapper Polo G, which was released in 2021. The track charted internationally following its release.
