Helipads

Our QuartzGrip® Anti-Slip Flat Plate can be cut into quite intricate shapes enabling us to build symbols into a surface. Creating a bold H to indicate a helicopter landing pad on an offshore platform or ship’s deck is a fairly simple process. What’s more, the fibreglass sheeting remains non-slip in all weather conditions and is UV stable so won’t fade over time. The material itself is coloured throughout so the design won’t wear off, ensuring safer landings for years.

Our CAD team can design the landing site to suit your location and our installation teams will ensure it’s fitted correctly.

Bespoke Surfaces

In isolated offshore locations reducing the risk of trips and falls by using the right surface is critical. In addition to sourcing specialist Phenolic and Vinyl Ester grating and solid top, we are also happy to work closely with our clients to find highly bespoke solutions to suit their specific requirements.

Phenolic Grating

That could include special colours, thicknesses, mesh designs, panel shapes or sizes. It could be pre-cutting, pre-drilling or applying branding, directional arrows or warning text. Phenolic Grating

Grating made from Phenolic GRP is the latest and strongest version of GRP to date and is now routinely used in the most hostile of working environments, including oil refineries, oil platforms, underground mining, railways and in shipping. It has the maximum fire resistance and emits little smoke or toxic fumes when burning – critical in enclosed spaces. Its reinforced structure can take exceptional loads – useful where large, uninterrupted spans need to be bridged.

As an offshore solution it has the added benefit of being immune to the effects that saltwater has on many materials. It’s also much lighter than steel equivalents making it easier, quicker and therefore cheaper to install.

As a specialist solution, most of our Phenolic Grating is produced to order so is often made in bespoke colours and sizes – whether as open mesh or with solid top.
