An Overview of the DMC Permaswage® fitting system

The DMC Permaswage® tube connection system is used tojoinaircraft hydraulic, fuel, pneumatic and ECS tube lines.

Used for 20 years, the DMC Permaswage®system has a verysuccessful"recordfor leaktightperformance on corporate and commercial aircraft as well as military and special missionaircraft.

DMC Permaswage®fittings are available in virtually any configuration required. Fittings have also been madein a. variety of fitting materials, pressure ratingsand sizes up to 1-1/2".

Theinstallationtechnigueis simple: Fittings are positioned on an applied mark located on the tubing. Compression tools, like the DLT series, are assembled around the fitting and the toolpressureis actuated.

The result is a mechanical swaging of the materials, joining the two elements.

A simple visual verificationand completes the installation.

DMC introducted the DLT series installation tooling in the mid 1980s because aircraft compartments and spaces were becoming smallerand toolingaccess was very important.

As a result, the DLT series tooling reduced size and weight by as much as 72% over the previous tooling series (called the D12000 series).

Other features incorporated into the DLT series tools help improve tube fabrication production by50% and dramatically reduces tool maintenance requirements.
